Oakley wasn't sure what woke her up so early on Monday morning, but she hadn't been able to fall back asleep for the last hour. Her clock read a little after six now, which meant Kayce would probably start to stir soon.
Oakley leaned onto her back and looked over at Kayce who was asleep next to her on his stomach, his arms crossed under his pillow. He looked so calm and peaceful sleeping as Oakley scooted closer to him.
"Morning," Kayce mumbled, his eyes still shut.
"Did I wake you?" Oakley frowned, but seeing as Kayce was awake she snuggled up to him.
Kayce pulled one of his arms from under him and wrapped it loosely around Oakley. Her nails scratched up and down his bare back gently as she kissed his shoulder.
"How long have you been up?" Kayce asked with a yawn.
"For a while," Oakley sighed.
"What woke you?" Kayce leaned his head over some so Oakley could share his pillow with him.
She tucked herself halfway under him, his warmth providing some new comfort to her chilly body from the morning coolness. Kayce's hand on the arm wrapped around her slid down her body, stopping right under her ass.
"I don't know," Oakey shrugged. "My mind must be full or something."
"Your mind is always full of something," Kayce smirked, his eyes still close.
"Yeah," Oakley giggled. "Usually it's you."
"I do like it when I fill you," Kayce said.
"Oh my God, Kayce!" Oakley laughed out loud, swatting his shoulder.
Kayce squirmed away but was laughing as Oakley giggled into his shoulder.
"Sorry," Kayce finally opened his eyes.
"You're almost thirty-one years old," Oakley rolled her eyes. "Can you not act like you're fourteen?"
"Not when you're in bed with me," Kayce snickered. "Come here."
Kayce pulled Oakley closer, his lips finding hers in a sweet good morning kiss. The sun must have broken through the clouds because the light shining in through the windows. Oakley gently pushed the hair out of Kayce's face.
Her eyes danced over his face as Kayce leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.
"You think I need to cut it don't you?" Kayce asked.
"I wasn't thinking that at all," Oakley raised her eyebrows. "I like it long."
"You do?" Kayce asked, looking like he didn't believe her.
"Yeah," Oakley got an evil look in her eye. "What else am I supposed to hold onto at night?"
"And you think I'm the fourteen-year-old boy?" Kayce laughed.
Kayce's alarm started to go off, leading him to groan as he flipped over to turn it off. Kayce sat up in bed, rubbing his hands over his eyes before he looked down at Oakley.
"Are you busy today?" Oakley asked, still on his pillow.
"I need to go over to some farmer's place near Darby," Kayce nodded. "Said something about cattle guards or something with a neighbor."
"Will you be careful?" Oakley asked, her hand running up and down Kayce's back.
She watched as his muscles tightened when her finger roamed over them, signally he was already stressed about the situation.
