Changbin and Jisung didn't say anything, they just watched me walk back over to the table and sit down. Then they both slowly made their way back to the table.
"Sooo..."
I looked up at both of them, unsure of who had spoken, "Sooo...?"
They looked at each other and back at me.
"What was that just now, in the hallway?" Changbin asked, reaching for another slice of pizza.
I looked down at the table, "Nothing."
Jisung sat across from me, "Well, you need to do nothing more often."
"What do you mean?" I picked at the pizza still left in the box.
"You do nothing, and Channie jumps." Changbin said.
"As high as he can." Jisung added under his breath.
I could feel color rising to my cheeks, "That's not true! Maybe he is just taking a page out of your books." I pointed to the both of them. "Maybe he is just trying to be nice."
"Sure." Changbin said, picking up another piece of pizza. "Or..." He took a bite.
I rolled my eyes, "Or...?"
Jisung filled in the end for Changbin, "Or he is trying to not do something, but he just can't stop himself."
"I'm still not following you guys." I finally freed a pepperoni and popped it into my mouth.
"Nevermind, it's nothing as well." Changbin said, taking another bite.
I shrugged, "Ok then."
I placed my head on the table on top of my arm, "Ugh, what I wouldn't give for a toothbrush, or even just a hairbrush."
"We have some extras downstairs in the locker room." Jisung said. "We tend to have to stay overnight as well, so they are free to use."
Changbin practically slapped Jisung out of his chair. "Owww! What the hell?"
Changbin grinned at him, the evil one he had used in Uno earlier. "What about you just wash your hair?"
I sat up straight, "Like a shower? I could do that?" My eyes lit up at the notion that I might be able to clean myself after 30+ hours.
Suddenly, Jisung's smile seemed to match Changbin's. "Sure, we could probably do that. But you would have to wait until later, when most everyone is gone, since you still are in custody."
"A technicality," Changbin added. "But you could shower with actual soap."
I could feel my eyes tearing up and my vision blurring. "Why are you guys so nice?"
Jisung put his hands out, "Whoa, whoa, don't go crying please. We are still guys. Women crying is an experience we don't do well with."
I started laughing, wiping tears away, "Thank you."
"Of course." Changbin pointed at the pizza, "Finished?"
I grabbed the slice I had been picking at and took a bite, nodding.
"Cool," he closed the box, "I'll go leave the rest of this on Channie's desk."
Jisung also stood up. "You finish that, then try to get some sleep. We have to leave early. I'll come back in a few hours and take you downstairs."
I nodded, happily munching on the slice I had taken.
They both waved on their way out and closed the door behind themselves. I leaned back in the chair, pushing the last bit of crust into my mouth. This whole bad experience was just made a little bit better by two amazingly kind and decent human beings.
