Chapter 16

The following week, Carl sits on the couch thinking.

" I don't know where Dylan is. I have tried getting to speak with him. He hasn't been answering my calls. How do I get to know where he works presently or where he is as he has told me that he won't be home for some while." Carl said thinking of how Dylan was faring.

She feels sad not been able to reach to Dylan. She felt her words made him behave like that.

" I love you Dylan. I can't live without you. " She said amidst tears and takes up her phone.

" Hi Carl, I will like to have a date with you today and I will be sending the location to you." She sees the message from Dylan and a smile crossed her face.

About two hours later, she receives another message from him telling her the venue and time of the date.

A smirk crossed her face as she walked into her room and selected a dress she would be wearing. She walked out of her room and picked up her phone.

"This is an exotic venue." She said as she tried thinking of how Dylan could get the venue for their date.

Some minutes later, she walked into her room and changed and walked out of the house after informing the workers that she is going on a date.

She walks to her car and drives some minutes.

Getting to the restaurant, she walks around in search of Dylan then her phone beeps.

"Right behind you." She saw on her phone by Dylan and turns back smiling.

She sees Dylan dressed in a suit and smiles.

"Dylan!" She called smiling.

"Do have your sit, my lady." Dylan said.

"You are looking cute." Carl said and Dylan smiles.

"I guess you have been looking for ways to get to me." Dylan said and Carl nodded.

"I am really happy that you are back." She said.

Dylan looks at a man and nods.

"Your date is over there." He says pointing to a man.

Carl gives him a demeaning look.

"What do you mean, Dylan?" She asked looking at him.

"That's your date. He is cute and young." Dylan said. "He is also one whom all girls are going to like. Just date him. He is the one for you." Dylan said as he sipped the drink which was in front of him.

Carl chose to act cool as she wasn't ready to lose Dylan. She was in love with him and that is all she cares about.

" Aren't you saying anything? " He asked but Carl decided to change the topic of the conversation.

"How did you get this suit?" She asked Dylan who take a deep breath as he remembers his mother giving him the suit.

Ruth had been pretending to her son not to know who he is. She wants to get Dylan spoilt then make him know that she is his mother. By that time, he wouldn't be able to leave her alone.

The only thing she struggle from is that the man whom her daughter chose is actually Dylan.

Nadosh had advised her mother that she should make everything easy for Dylan which is also what she plans for.

Dylan looks at Carl and smiles.

"This was bought for me by my new boss."He said to her so that if ever she gets to know where he works, she wouldn't refer to her as his mother.
