The following morning, Carl woke up and straightened herself up.
"What a new day!" She said.
She got up from the bed and walked into the bathroom to have her bath. She didn't want to go to work today so she felt to call the head worker after having her bath.
After having her bath and cleaning up, she wore a short and top afterwhich she took up her phone and located Naomi's number.
She called the number but Naomi didn't pick it. She called again and same thing happened.
She took in a deep breath and decided to leave a voice note.
"Naomi, I will not be coming today but I will need you to take care of others." She said using voice note.
The next day was her father's birthday and she promised herself to surprise her father.
Her parents weren't one to announce their birthday before the set day but they usually celebrate their birthday on the beach while she celebrated her on a roller coastal.
After sending the voice mail to Naomi, she took in a deep breath and again picked up her phone.
She dialed a number and made an order of a cake, some balloons and some gifts including a birthday card.
The vendor agreed to deliver it early the following day.
She hoped that it would be delivered before her parents get up the next day and smiled. She walked out to the living room and sat down.
She started deliberating on what to do.
"Carl, you are up?" She heard her mother say and smiled.
"Yes Mom." She said.
Mrs. Robin looked at her daughter's outfit and noticed that she was not dressed like she is going to her workplace.
"Carl, why aren't you dressed?" She asked.
Carl smiled looking down then at her mother.
"I am not going to my place of work, Mom." She said and her mother nodded.
Her mother was already dressed to go out and Carl looked at her amazed.
"Mom, you are going to work quiet early." She said and her mother smiled shaking her head.
"I haven't gone to my office since the past week. I usually go to visit a bereaved friend of mine but I have a separate plan today." Mrs. Robin said.
Carl smiled as she was interested to know what other plan her mother had.
"What other plan, Mom?" Carl asked.
Her mother looked at her and smiled.
She walked closer to her daughter and whispered into her ear.
"I need to get some presents for my husband after leaving my friend's place." Mrs. Robin said.
"Alright Mom." Carl answered smiling as she remembered that she also had her present for her father.
She wanted to make it a surprise to both her parents so she wasn't going to let her mother know of it.
"Have any idea if Dad is going out?" Carl asked her mom who smiled nodding her head.
"Yes he will be going out as some friends called him to meet with them so as to welcome him back home in a grand style. You also know what that mean." Her mother said and Carl nodded.
She knew that the friends weren't only going to welcome him but also celebrate his birthday silently.
" I hope you won't feel bored. " Mrs. Robin said and Carl shooked her head.
