I woke up in my bed. How had I come here? What had happened? My head hurt so bad, but I couldn't recall the cause of the aching. I tried to sit up, but even the slightest movement brought on a sharp pain. Before I knew it Damon was next to me, his strong arms softly forcing me down.
"Don't move. Your ribs are bruised. It will only hurt more." He said with a worried look on his face. I wanted to talk, but my mouth was too dry and I had a sore throat. If only I knew what had happened to me. Damon saw the frustrated look on my face and walked to the corner of my room. He grabbed the chair, lifted it up and put it down next to me. He sat down and grabbed my hand. Determined not to let go of it.
The sound of fighting in the other room woke me up. I must have fallen asleep. I looked out of the window and saw it had gotten dark outside. The chair was still next to me, but no sign of Damon. I tried to make out what the voices were saying, but the sound was too muffled for me to hear.
I was too curious so I climbed out of bed with a lot of trouble and pain and stumbled to the door. When I rested my ear against the door to hear better the door suddenly opened and I fell head first on the floor. I apparently had a concussion, because the pain was unbearable. Sun quickly helped me up and guided me back to my bed, followed by Damon. "Why are you out of bed?" Sun and Damon both asked at the same time. It was too funny I had to laugh. Laughing made the aching pain in my chest even worse plus it caused me to cough.
When I coughed I noticed that there was a little spatter of blood on my hands. Damon noticed as well. He obviously smelled it. Within a second he had me in his arms and he was almost out of the door when Sun made him stop to explain what was going on. I showed her my hand that was now even more covered in blood.
She ordered Damon to get to the hospital as fast as he could. She'd take the car. Damon didn't think twice about that and got to the hospital in a flash. We went to the E.R. and I immediately got assigned a room. They hooked me up on all sorts of things. I don't remember much of it just that I thought they were all overreacting. Then the doctor came in with a team of nurses to do their checkups. They concluded that besides my concussion, bruised ribs and many more bruisings I had an internal bleeding. The coughing was the cause of it. Luckily it wasn't that bad of an internal bleeding and it'd only take a small procedure to fix it.
In the mean time Sun had arrived at the hospital and hurried to my room. She was crying. Damon was fighting with the doctor and nurses who ordered him to get out of the room since he wasn't family. I got sedated. That's all I remember.
