My sister was pregnant. Great, one more thing that I didn't know how to deal with. I felt slightly disappointed that Damon knew before me. Okay, I didn't tell my sister much either, but still I'd like for her to have a bit more trust in me. I wanted to comfort Sun, but she said she just wanted to be left alone for a bit. I couldn't really think about it more either, because there were other things that needed my attention more.
With everyone, but Jeremy paying full attention to Sun, I could further our investigation easier.
Jeremy asked me how I was dealing with this new information. I shrugged and told him in all honesty that I didn't know what to think about it. He understood. The thought of his sister being pregnant made him cringe. We talked some more about where we would go from here. Jeremy was going to improve his archery skills and I would read through the diary again. I had already finished it once and had found nothing that really stood out, but maybe if I read it again I'd find things that I hadn't noticed before.
I sat underneath the tree in front of the cabin with the journal and started to read. Then I noticed something quite peculiar. Some pages ended with a word not followed by a full-stop while the next word on the next page started with a capital letter. As if there were pages missing, but that wasn't the case. Strange. I grabbed a little notebook with a pen and wrote the words down. When I got done writing all the words down I saw that they formed a sentence. Or more rather a name and address:
Walker Thorne, Apple Lane
Excited because of this new lead I ran through the forests looking for Jeremy screaming his name. I ran into Damon though. "What are you doing running around?" He said frowning.
"Just looking for Jeremy." I said casually, holding the journal and notebook tightly. Jeremy appeared just in time to save me from Damon's piercing eyes. "Oh there you are, come on I found a...frog." I made up. Jeremy looked confused, but quickly understood it was an excuse to get away from Damon. When Damon was out of sight I showed Jeremy the secret message that I had found with the new lead. He was as excited as I was, but also looked slightly worried. "Don't you think we should tell anyone else about it? It's getting pretty serious now." I looked shocked and said fiercely. "No, we can't tell anyone else. We need to do this ourselves. Are you still in?" He nodded determined. I let out a sigh of relief. Admittedly this whole quest thing was pretty damn scary, but having Jeremy by my side made it better.
We went inside to eat dinner, but the only ones at the table were Elena, Stefan and then Jeremy and I. We ate some burgers with a side salad in silence. After dinner Elena and I went to the kitchen to do the dishes. I decided to go to bed early, because Jeremy and I had agreed on meeting up early the next morning to go follow the second lead.
I brushed my teeth, took a shower and quickly fell asleep, tired of a very eventful day. The next morning I woke up myself and got dressed. I put on a simple white t-shirt, with some dungarees covered in sunflowers, a hat and my converses. I was surprised that Jeremy hadn't woken me up yet. I figured he was downstairs waiting for me, so I went down. When I got down I saw Damon and Jeremy standing together. When they heard me coming Jeremy looked up with a guilty expression and Damon looked worried and angry.
"Sorry, he forced me to tell him what we were doing with his eye thing." Jeremy said while throwing a shady glance towards Damon. Damon kept his piercing eyes on me however and said with a dead serious expression. "So, when are we going to follow our second lead."
