Luna's POV

Sun had explained herself for her behaviour and we went back inside the Grill. Matt, Elijah and Damon were still standing where they stood when we left them. I heard Matt and Sun talking to each other, but I couldn't make up what they were saying, because I was distracted. Distracted, because Damon was staring at me.

I desperately wanted to look back, show him that I wasn't intimated by him, but admittedly I was. I was intimidated by him. By how handsome and spontaneous he was. So I kept looking down, staring at my feet as if they were the most interesting things in the Grill that moment.

I hardly even noticed Sun going to the back to change and when I looked up again I saw that Elijah and Matt were both gone as well. So that left me alone with Damon. I shifted from one foot to another unsure of what to do, of what to say. Just when I was about to say something, Damon did.

"Luna, is it. Right?" I nodded. "Beautiful name that is. You wouldn't already have a date for the Mikaelson's Ball, would you?" I laughed and became more comfortable. "No, to be honest I don't think I'll be even going." "Why's that?" Damon asked slightly surprised. "Well, I don't exactly have anyone to go with and I don't think my sister will like it if I go with her and Matt."
Damon seemed to be pleased and what he then asked was more than I could have ever hoped for: "Well then, would you do me the pleasure to be my date to the Mikaelson's Ball?"

I don't know how long I stood there, mouth open wide because I was so surprised, but then I realised that Damon was waiting for an answer and I yelled the happiest "yes!" I have ever yelled and embraced him. The embrace didn't last long and was rudely interrupted by my sister ordering me to go.

When we got outside the Grill I decided to let Sun be as we walked to the most beautiful dress store I had ever seen. As we got inside I was mesmerised by all the beautiful dresses, but even more by all the incredible hair jewels. Then I saw it. The most perfect hair jewel ever made. It consisted of silver leaves with an off white and bronze coating. It was radiant and I knew I had to base my entire outfit on that hair jewel.

That's why I chose a subtle maxi dress. I especially liked the high neckline and the crochet detail at the waist. For shoes I chose some bronze heels with a lot of straps and I finished it all of with a cute mustard coloured clutch.

First up to try their dress on was Sun. She called for me to zip her up and when I saw her I had no words. I knew she was gorgeous, but this was gorgeous on a whole other level. The dress looked amazing with her blonde locks and suited her eyes as well. She almost looked like a mermaid. Of course she was the only one who could pull off a strapless dress like that.

Then it was time for me to try on my outfit. When I got out of the changing cabinet I was pretty insecure, because I knew I could never top my sister. When she saw me coming out of there I could have sworn I saw a tear rolling over her cheek. She walked towards me and gave me a very tight hug. This made me cry as well.
"You look absolutely mindblowingly beautiful, sis." She said as we stared at our reflection in the mirror.
