After school Jeremy and I headed straight to the tree to practice our archery skills. We had hidden our crossbows, so we could start right away. I actually turned out to be quite the skilled archer, to both Jeremy and my surprise.

We also practiced our fighting skills by holding a fluffy pillow up and letting the other beat it. Yeah, that wasn't really my thing... I even managed to hit myself in the face in the process. Jeremy however was great at it. We made a schedule: each day was a different training. Everything was going really well, until it was time to go home again. We had kind of lost track of time and so it was already way past dinner.

I went home and when I got home Sun was impatiently sitting on the couch. When I came in she looked kind of mad, yet relieved to see me. "Where have you been?" She asked me worried. "Nice outfit, turning into a grandma after all?" I said avoiding the question. Sun didn't laugh. She saw my face: bruised with dried blood and my arms with their scratches. "What have you done??" She asked even more worried. I walked over to the mirror and saw that I looked even worse than I had initially thought, it didn't hurt though.

"I fell." I lied. Sun knew it was a lie and I saw how desperately she wanted to unravel the truth, but there apparently were bigger things on her mind. She grabbed my elbow and walked me over to the couch where we both sat down. "If this is about Damon I don't-" Sun cut me off. "This isn't about Damon although I did tell him the truth. This is about our parents. I figure Klaus has already told or maybe even showed you?" I nodded. Sun waited for a response. "Yes. Honestly, I don't know what to think about it. I believe you, I really do, but mom has always treated me nicely and she seemed so peaceful. I can't imagine her harming anyone."

Sun nodded, looking slightly disappointed. It felt off though. Like there was something or rather someone else involved in this whole matter and like I said: I wanted to get to the bottom of this. Jeremy was already in on the plan, but I didn't want to tell Sun. She had enough on her mind already. "Okay enough. We need to do something fun. The last time we went on a trip it ended horribly and since we can't seem to get rid of those Mikaelsons and Salvatores: let's invite them all. Plus Elena and Jeremy, of course."

"What did you have in mind?" Sun said with a grin, a lot more happy already. "Texas." I said proud. We called Elijah, Rebekah, Klaus, Damon, Stefan, Elena and Jeremy and all agreed to meet at Sun and my place. This proposition wasn't merely to have a fun bounding trip though.
No, it was the first and so far only lead Jeremy and I had found regarding the quest. The quest to find out the truth about our mom, Rain Sherman. Since my mom was born in Texas it was the best place to start off.
