Peace and quiet. That's all there was when I sat in the tree. I never wanted to leave this place. It was getting dark and I still didn't want to go home. Maybe it was best if I stayed at someone else's place. No. I wanted to be independent for once.
I could sleep out and about. "Yes!" I accidentally said aloud. "Luna?" a familiar voice mumbled from down on the ground. I startled. Who was there?

"Fuck, I just tripped over your stupid bike. Luna, I know you're here." I now recognised Jeremy's voice and couldn't help but laugh at his clumsiness.
I got down to face Jeremy and he looked relieved to see me. "You did great back there." He said.
"I did?" I asked surprised, I didn't think he'd like it. I mean, I wasn't exactly nice to him. He laughed and nodded. "Yes, you did. You know, I have been through the exact same shit you are going through right now. My sister left me out of everything. You just reach a point where you can't take it no more, you know."

I nodded. This was exactly how I felt. Finally someone who understood. "How did they react?" I shifted from one foot to another, not sure if I wanted to hear his answer. "Well, they were all pretty shocked obviously. Think they felt guilty as well. Wasn't much time to discuss it though, since your sister basically send everyone away immediately." I didn't really know what to say.

Jeremy noticed. "How do we go from here?" I laughed again. "We? Are we like partners in crime now?" He laughed. "Why not? We are both outsiders. Let's form an alliance, shall we?" I punched his arm. "You're stupid." I exclaimed laughing. "And you're violent, but I still accept you. But really, what's next?" Jeremy replied.

To which I answered. "Well, we need a place to stay. I vote for this tree to be our camp. All in favour?" I faked looking around as if there were so many others and Jeremy theatrically put his hand in the air. "Tree it is. Now I suggest for us to get some sleeping bags and the essentials. We will meet again in, say half an hour?"

We decided to meet up again in half an hour and both went off to our houses to get our stuff. I was happy that I wasn't completely alone, but in great company. Jeremy was my best friend. I was glad to have him along my side. When I got home I didn't want to face Sun, so I climbed up to the window. It took a lot of effort and I think I must have scratched myself a million times, but I made it. It made a squeaky noise when I opened it. I could only hope Sun wouldn't hear it.

When I got into my room I jumped in the air when I saw Damon sitting on my bed looking amused. "Fuck Damon, what the hell are you doing here?!" I whispered feisty. He grinned. "I like it when you talk dirty to me." I sighed. "Why are you whispering anyway, Sun isn't here." He added. "She isn't?" I asked rather surprised. "Nope, she left you this note with some new clothes." I grabbed the note out of his hand and read it. Although I appreciated it, I didn't like that she thought she could make it up to me by buying me new clothes. I wasn't materialistic.

I put the note on my dresser and started packing. Nothing special just the essentials. I ignored Damon completely. When I got done and wanted to leave through the window Damon blocked it. "What are you doing?" He asked. I could hear the sincere confusion in his voice. "Going to a friend's house." I lied. "What friend?" Damon asked sounding overprotective. "With all due respect, that's none of your business. Now is it?" I inquired as I got out through the window.
