Luna's POV

I was super excited for the trip. Excited and scared. I loved Texas. The people are friendly, the landscapes beautiful and there are so many cute farm animals. I got dressed in a breezy white dress, because Texas is hot. It was a pretty plain dress though so I wore a dream catcher like necklace with it. The turquoise accents in the necklace came back in my brown and turquoise cowboy boots. I got them from my dad just before the accident. Just as the snake patterned hat and the bag. I was just busy straightening my hair when Damon more or less got pushed into my room by an irritated Sun.

I couldn't help, but giggle. Damon's embarrassed face disappeared and his eyes softened. He walked over to me with a slight smirk. "What are you doing?" I straightened the last piece of my hair and put my straightener down. "Doing my hair." I said casually and stood up to pack a couple more things. When I looked around I giggled even more because Damon was holding the straightener and studied it like it was some sort of extraterrestrial device. "Yeah, I think it's safest to just give that to me before you burn yourself." When I took the straightener out of his hands our skins touched and we both took a step back automatically. Damon's embarrassed face returned and I got tomato like red. He said he needed to do something downstairs and just like that he left. I only sighed.

We all got in the car. Damon looked somewhat jealous when Jeremy and I got in the same car, while he made up the car seatings himself, together with Sun. I shrugged it off. Again, if he couldn't man up and tell his honest feelings, he wasn't worth my time anyway.

Jeremy had gotten plenty of snacks to survive the trip. Goldfish, chips, donuts, sour patch kids and way more. The look of it made me nauseous, but I was doing a lot better with my bulimia. We listened to music and sang as loud as we could. When the others drove past us on the highway and saw us sing and dance like crazy people they laughed.

We finally arrived in Texas, Austin to be precise. There was this chalet thing, that the Salvatores apparently owned so that came in handy. We brought all our suitcases and other junk in and picked out rooms. Stefan and Elena picked Stefan's room. Jeremy and Elijah took the room upstairs. Klaus and Sun took the room downstairs and then there were two rooms left. One relatively small, well I mean I could easily fit in there with more than just one person, but Rebekah apparently needed all the space, because she claimed it for her alone. So that left Damon and me with just one room. Damon's room.

Of course, because when does this not happen? Bad luck, always. The others were unpacking already and Damon and I just stood there awkwardly in the entrance. "I'll take the couch." We said at the same time. We laughed. "No, I'll take the couch. I can't just throw you out of your room, that would be rude." I said. "I insist. Plus, I am a vampire I don't need that much sleep." Damon said with a small grin. I gave in and thanked him for being so generous.

I went upstairs and unpacked my stuff. Damon's room was very impressive. There were so many beautiful details and a lot of art hanging on the walls. I didn't know Damon liked art this much. His bed was huge, yet subtle in its shape and super soft because of the mattress. I went to the nightstand where I saw a picture of Damon and Stefan in what I think would be the '20s. I had almost forgotten that they're this old already.
