I stopped for a while and pressed my lips into thin line as I remembered how I became part of this squad...

FLASHBACK

"Why don't you join magic knights? you have a great potential" Asta said, he is the one convinced me to join here even on the first place I Don't want to be here because he promised that I will be on the same squad as he is but that's not what happened....

After the examination, the final judgement came I thought I will be joining Black bulls however I was surprised when Captain Nozel decided to stepped in and picked me for his squad...I stood there and stare at Captain Yami of Black Bulls waiting for him to oppose Captain Nozel's decision but he didn't even move a muscle! I feel hopeless and was about to back out but then I remembered I will be put on shame if I did that and that's worst scenario that I don't want to happen!

"So are you just going to stand there?" I was snapped back to reality when I heard Captain Nozel's voice...
I looked up on him and that moment it feels like it just me and him on this room, his cold stare and presence are intimidating! I took a deep breath and bowed my head
"Captain I'm Roselyn, the newest member of Silver Eagle Squad"
I introduce myself I can even hear some people whispering and It added heavy feelings to my heart until I felt his presence right on front of me,
I stood straight and looked on him with confidence
"Roselyn, where are you from?" I bit my lower lip
"I'm from the forest Captain, I lived there by my own" he raised his eyebrow on me "Lived by your own? what do you mean? you Don't have family?" I nodded "That's exactly what it is, I Don't have family to live with" I heard Solid laugh and I looked on him, I frown as he looked on me with grin on his face " You living alone at the forest? in short you're just a homeless peasant? I wonder how come you passed the exam?" I tightened my fist and I think Nozel noticed it since he cleared his throat so I looked away from Solid "So I've heard you possessing light magic was that correct?" I nodded, I felt everyone was waiting for me to show it "What are you waiting for? show it to me then" I gasped "Uhm okay..." I picked up the withered flower from my pocket and I waved my hand on it and on instant it became fresh again, I heard everyone gasped "That's impressive but can you also use that whenever you're on the battlefield?" I nodded "I can help by healing everyone who's injured" he raised his eyebrow "So you're telling me that there should be someone died first before you can help?" he is now frowning on me "Huh? that's not it! I can also fight using my knife! I'm a very trained and I know a lot of survival skills!" I heard Solid laughing again and he approached us and crossed his arms on his chest while grinning on me "You're still useless when it comes to magic, brother why did you chose her on our squad? for sure you're regretting it now" he looks on Nozel, Just one more and I will hit him!

I looked on Captain Nozel, he turned around coldly without saying any words...Out of nowhere I feel the urge of kneeling down "Please accept me! I mean please give me a chance to prove myself!" he stopped walking and looked at me with the same expression then after awhile he walked back to me "If you failed me, then forget you became one of my members leave Clover Kingdom and never return" I stood and looked on him bravely "No worries, I'll prove that your brother's words are wrong Captain. I will never be a burden to the squad" he nodded and turned around Solid glare at me before he followed his brother.

Everyone was doing training but they refused to train with me meanwhile the other new girl member who's name is Chrimary was being treated well because she's also from a noble family, I sigh and went out to the field I looked around then I picked out my knife from my inner thigh I turned it to a sword and practice alone.

NOZEL'S POV

I saw her practicing alone but I frown when I saw her using a sword so I walked towards her and grabbed the sword from her "Captain!" she got startled "Where do you get this? did you stole this!?" she was confused and tilted her head "What? no! that's mine!" she grabbed it back and even touched me to be able to get it, I was surprised with that so I pushed her and she fell to the ground and I gasped a little I wasn't expecting my push will be that strong I saw how her sword turns into a knife before she stood and picked it up "You see, I don't have grimoire to use but I have this knife as my source of magic" I glare at her but it seems like she wasn't fear to me "Make sure you're not going to use it against us!" I turned around and walked away.

Dinner time, I decided to held a dinner for the two newest members but the only one who's here is Chrimary "Where is Roselyn?" I asked Nebra "Why would I care for her?" she just continue talking with the other "Why do you think?" I glare at her and she gasped and starts asking the others about Roselyn "You troubling yourself too much about a peasant it doesn't sounds like you" Solid said and shake his head, I roam my eyes around until I stopped on the door I saw Roselyn standing there peaking on everyone but after awhile she carefully closed the door.

I decided to follow her secretly and I saw here went to the garden at first she's checking everything before she went there, I took time before I decided to peak on her she was sitting there alone and fidgeting her fingers, like a child who don't know what to do then she stood and stretch unexpectedly she looked on me "Captain! oh uhm Good Evening!" She bowed her head and looked on me again so I decided to walk towards her "What are you doing here alone? plotting something evil?" She sigh "No, uh I was about to..." she took a deep breath "I was about to tell that I'm going home already!" I frown "Aren't you joining us for dinner?" she shake her head "Why? aren't you part of Silver eagle?" she gasped and waved her hands "That's not it! it just that I already ate with Asta!" I grabbed her wrist "I Don't care! you will join us because I prepared that for the newest members and you're one of them!" I saw the surprised on her eyes but she didn't dare to protest as I dragged her along.

At the dinner room, I can see she was trying to cope up with his comrades it just that they avoiding her so she remained silence "I can't believe a peasant like will make our Captain chased you"Solid said, I remained silent as well while eating "Just who do you think you are? hmm?" Nebra added "Yes while Chrimary was here and you acting like an important person!" everyone laughed, I frowned as I saw Roselyn's reaction, this isn't good I remained alert as I felt the magic coming from her.
