Chapter 4

In the morning, I woke up and I saw him standing close to the edge I stood and noticed that the sun was about to rise so I got up and stood beside him, I noticed below was a village "We arrived?" I looked at him and he nodded.

We landed outside the village.

NOZEL'S POV

"Thank goodness you guys arrived!" I was surprised when an elderly man ran and kneeled down in front of us but I saw Roselyn kneeled and hugged the man, she even patted his back to calm him down "Everything is gonna be okay now" she said in a soft voice then she helped him to get up, the man stood and bowed his head "Thank you! Thank you!" he backed away and looked at me with a smile on his face "You must be the village chief?" I asked "That is correct, my name is Han and I assume you're the Magic knights from the Capital?" I nod "I am Nozel Silva the Captain of Silver Eagle squad and she is Roselyn" I saw him gasped and cleared his throat "A Silva? it was a surprise seeing a royal man standing right in front of me" he gave me a sly smile "I am a Captain of Magic knight it's my duty to help and ensure the safety of the Kingdom" He looked away and held his chin "That makes sense, alright! please allow me to guide you around the town" We followed him.

I noticed that inside the village a lot of people are living poorly, they are looking at us "Hi are you a Magic knight?" a little girl stood in front of Roselyn, she kneeled down and smiled "Yes and we're here to help you" the kid chuckled as Roselyn held her arm, the kid looked at me with hesitation but I just looked away "He is my Captain" I heard Roselyn introduce me to her "Captain? woah!" The kid ran to me and gave me a hug! I gasped "Waaah! I want to be a Captain too!" she said, I was caught off guard but then the mother of this kid ran to snatch her from me "Be careful he is a Royal you shouldn't do that!" I heard her scolding her kid, I frowned and walked faster.

Han brought us to his house and they offered us a cup of tea "You see, our village is just small that's why the government is not usually paying attention to us" I nodded "I see. But let's get to business here, we are here to help you in regards to the beast destroying houses and lives here can you tell us more about it?" he stared at me for a while then he sighed and spoke.

"Shioyuki, a snake man who's living in the forest suddenly attacked our Village and started a rampage, we managed to stop him but not for long, he started destroying houses and killing people he even managed to make it through here" he pointed the huge hole on the wall "What does he want?" I asked "I Don't know! all I know is that we were scared to approach him for we know it will be our end" I heard Roselyn take a deep breath so I looked at her and I saw she's staring at the necklace of the village chief "Are you sure you Don't know? I've been living in the forest for almost half of my life but none of this magical beast attacked me unless..." she pointed to the necklace "You took something important from him" The village chief looked stunned for a moment before he chuckled and looked at his necklace, it was a golden snake coiled to another snake "Hmm well this is mine, what makes you think I stole it from him?" Roselyn remained serious and silent "Was it because we're talking about snake man?" he laughed as if it was a big joke, I tightened the grip on my hand and I glared at Roselyn she remained calm "I'm sorry about the accusation. I will talk with her later" I said.

After we gathered the important information, we went out and I grabbed Roselyn on the arm "Why did you do that? now that old hag thinks of you as an idiot!" she brushed away my hand and it was unexpected for me "You Don't understand! I know there's something odd about that necklace!" I glared at her even more "What makes you think about that huh? where do you get that idea?" she remained silent "Stop relying based on your experience Roselyn! this is a serious mission and we have to complete it! do you understand? stop being hard headed and just listen to me!" she nodded and let her go.

We separated, I decided to stay at the Village chief's house while her she looked for a place to stay in.

ROSELYN'S POV
