Mateo invited us for a 'fun day'. I think this was just a way for him to hang out with Alex and he didn't wanna be rude to me.
I'm currently walking up this long ass driveway and it's looking very familiar. I just can't place my finger on it.
Where have I seen this house before?
I ring the doorbell and wait patiently for it to be answered. From the inside, I hear footsteps nearing until the door is swung open.
Standing in the door frame is a shirtless Carson who is grinning down at me.
My eyes trail down until they reach his toned chest and stomach. His slightly exposed V-line made me swallow harshly.
I bring my eyes back to his so beautiful face only to find him smirking. "Like what you see?" He asked amusement lacing his voice.
I scowl at him rolling my eyes before asking the question that's been lingering in my thoughts since he answered the door.
"What are you doing here?" I ask raising a brow at him. "Wow Mani I knew you were behind but I didn't know you were this behind." He exclaims looking down at me with a award-worthy smile.
I glare at him and scoff, "I'm not that dense Balck," I say making him laugh.
When he finally comes down from his laughing fit and answers my question. "Me and Mateo are cousins he told you this yesterday. And I think he told you he's not from here?" He asks to which I nod.
"Yup, so he's staying at my house while he finishes school here." He concludes and I nod and I nod in understatement.
"Well, can I come in?" I ask gesturing to the fact we've been standing here for a while and I'm still outside.
"I don't know princess you tell me," Carson replies smugly making me roll my eyes. I push past him and into his house- I'm sorry his mansion.
Why and how does he have such a big house?
Looking around I realize I have no idea where the movie theater is. Mateo told me to meet him there but I honestly don't know how to get there.
Nervously I turn around to Carson with a small smile playing on my lips. "Do you mind showing me where the movie theater is?" I ask.
He stares at me for what feels like an eternity but was probably like five seconds before nodding.
He leads me down a hall and to a grand staircase. He starts taking two steps at a time making me have to run to catch up.
Finally, we reach the landing and he leads me down another hallway and then another before opening a door.
When he does so I see Alex and Mateo sitting on one of the couches Alex's head laying on Mateo's shoulder.
I smile at the sight. I feel like a proud parent.
Mateo is good for her but if he breaks her heart or makes her cry tears that arent from joy he's gonna get it.
I begin to walk to a couch but notice Carson isn't following. He's about to leave? Im, not third wheeling.
I jog over to him before he can leave and yank his wrist. He stumbles back at the unexpected action glaring at me. I smile sheepishly before getting serious.
"You're not staying?" I ask and he shakes his head 'no'.
"Please I don't wanna third wheel," I say hopefully looking up at him. He studies my face before exhaling a big huff of air. "Fine." He says.
I smile brightly at him and drag him to a couch.
"Hey, guys!" Alex says excitedly jumping out of Mateos hold to hug me. I hug her back tightly before letting go and gesturing back to Mateo with a wink.
She blushes slightly before walking back to her original seat.
"So what are we watching?" I ask after getting comfortable beside Carson and grabbing some of the snacks they had laid out.
We decide on the spider man movie across the super verse.
I prop my legs up on Carson's lap my head leaning on his shoulder.
Carson may be annoying but I can't watch a movie if I'm uncomfortable.
Carson drapes an arm around me making me tense a little before relaxing.
I could get used to this.
_________________________________________
I'm currently in Carson's car.
Alex was too tired to go home so she stayed with Mateo and they fell asleep watching another movie.
I was going to walk home as my mother has requested of me but Carson would not let me. He says he doesn't want me out alone on these streets at night.
And secretly I'm very grateful because I would've cried if I had to walk 40 minutes to get home, especially this late.
My thoughts become limited as I hear the engine cut off and notice we've stopped driving.
I look up and see my house. I smile unbuckling my seatbelt before turning to Carson whos already looking at me.
I give him a small smile as I feel myself get nervous.
Do I have something on me?
"Thanks for not making me third wheel today, and for the ride," I say and he smiles at me. "Anytime." He states.
We stare at each other before a tap on the window startles us. I turn my head to see my mother in her robe smiling at us.
Embarrassed I hurriedly open the door, "Have a good night Carson and drive safe." I quickly spew out before jumping out of the car and dragging my mother with me.
I turn and wave at Carson which he returns before leaving down the street. My mother turns to me and a sly look on her face.
"So he's cute." My mom says as we enter the house.
I groan loudly to show my distaste for this conversation.
"Good night Mom," I say trudging up the stairs. "YOU DIDN'T DENY IT!" She yells from downstairs laughing.
I roll my eyes at her antics a small smile on my face.
I guess he is kinda cute.
But still obnoxious.

Not really a fan of this chapter but it's ok. I'd say it's a filler chapter but interoperate it however you please!
