Mingi tapped on his phone as he walked downstairs. It was literally 6 in the morning, and no one was still awake apart from him.
He didn't know why was he awake, but he just decided to go downstairs and get ready for the day early even if he knows he will be dying of tiredness and want to nap. He placed his phone in the back pocket and finished walking downstairs, stopping in tracks when he saw Yunho sitting on the sofa and looking to his lap.
The male was rarely awake early, but he looked somehow...sad.
Mingi's heart burned at that look. Yunho and him rarely argued, and you could say this was the first time they actually had an argument.
It hurt, but it hurt Mingi to be parted from him even more.
Yunho turned his head to him, connecting their eyes and making Mingi shift awkwardly. The silence was thick, and it made Yunho upset even more. He missed Mingi. He missed their jokes and their conversations, even if he was the one who made this happen.
Mingi looked away, clenching his jaw and turning around to go upstairs. Yunho can't let it slide just like that. They need to talk and clear this.
"Mingi." He called him out.
The male stopped walking, waiting for Yunho to talk before he heard the sigh. Yunho stood up as Mingi's back was still facing him, walking over to him and pulling his hands in the pockets anxiously.
"Hey.. can we talk?" Yunho asked.
Mingi didn't answer, but his fists clenched as he gulped. Yunho let out a shaky breath as he started to turn around. The sorrow on Mingi's face made Yunho hate himself. Why did he do this? That look never suited Mingi.
"I-I'm so sorry, Mingi. I wasn't thinking about my words, and you know that I never meant to hurt you. I-"
Yunho was cut off by the arms wrapping around his shoulders. He shut his mouth as Mingi placed his chin over his shoulder, waiting for Yunho to return it.
The male felt unsure of what should he do. Mingi is literally hugging him after almost 2 weeks, and he felt unsure himself if he is supposed to be hugging Yunho. However, Yunho couldn't resist it. He raised his arms and wrapped them around Mingi's waist, pressing his face onto his shoulder.
"I missed you so much.." Yunho mumbled quietly.
Mingi didn't say anything, instead tightening his hold on Yunho and breathing in his scent. It felt so comforting, and Mingi missed him even more.
"I missed you too.." Mingi mumbled back, almost crying his soul out there.
Yunho tightened his grip on his body, now letting the tears roll down his cheeks without a care. He sobbed into his shoulder, holding onto Mingi's body for dear life like he was afraid of losing him again.
"I-I'm so sorry!.." Yunho cried out.
Mingi rubbed his back, pressing a kiss onto his cheek and hugging him again. He was also crying, feeling finally easy when they are back together.
"It's alright, don't cry..." Mingi mumbled.
Yunho shook his head. How was he supposed not to cry?
"I have- have to.." Yunho sobbed.
Mingi rubbed his back as he cried into his shoulder, occasionally pressing kisses there and there since he used to do that sometimes. They moved away and Mingi cupped Yunho's cheeks, pressing their foreheads together and sobbing.
"It's alright Yuyu, we're fine..." Mingi assured quietly
Yunho nodded, feeling warm again now that he has Mingi next to him again.
