Jongho's head was pounding.
He started to stir, slowly opening his eyes and seeing the white celling. The bottle of infusion was on the other side being put in his arm and leaking slowly inside.
It became very clear that he was in the hospital soon afterwards even if he wasn't too happy about that. Jongho let out a small grumble, slowly raising himself up from the hospital bed.
Yeosang immediately jumped up from the chair where he was sitting on next to his bed. Jongho furrowed his eyebrows at the sight of him.
Yeosang? What was he doing here? And what even happened?
"Do you need anything?"
Jongho felt his throat burning, so he pointed to the bottle of water that was standing on the nightstand next to the bed.
Yeosang immediately opened the cap before he pressed it against Jongho's lips carefully not to spill it everywhere. Jongho drank a bit of water, feeling a bit better and humming as Yeosang placed it back before getting up.
"Don't get up too quickly. I'll call the doctor to tell him you're awake." Yeosang mumbled as he placed his hand on Jongho's shoulder.
He went out of the room, leaving Jongho to sort out his thoughts and rub his temple as his head hurt badly. Yeosang came back with the doctor a few moments later, crossing his arms and staring at Jongho as the doctor started to speak.
"Mister Choi, glad to see you're awake. We managed to save you just in time, and if we didn't you would already be dead." The doctor spoke.
Jongho nodded slowly, not really in the mood to talk as the doctor continued to speak.
"I would advice you to rest as much as you can. Your arm is still wounded and you should take vitamins to regain back your energy. Nothing else you should be worried about."
Jongho thanked the doctor before he left and Yeosang sat on the chair again. They stayed silent a bit as Jongho bit the inside of his cheek. It was so weird. Yeosang was right here next to him again, and Jongho felt so many emotions.
"What even happened?" Jongho mumbled.
Yeosang looked at him for a few moments before he actually replied.
"You breathed too much smoke that night, and your lungs couldn't take it anymore so you fainted." He mumbled.
Jongho turned to look at him, humming and nodding his head. Yeosang kept staring at him but he looked somehow awkward.
"How long was I even out?" Jongho asked.
Yeosang shifted. "Two days."
Jongho nodded, hating the awkwardness in their conversations. But he understood that it's going to be like that, so he just accepted it knowing that he has no other choice.
"Are you okay? Nothing serious?"
He also hated to admit it, but the scars and bruises on Yeosang's face just made him look different.
They happened because of Jongho, and no one else. If he told Yeosang the truth for the beginning, nothing would have happened.
Yeosang shook his head. "Just a minor injury of my rib because of the punches. I just have to keep it bandaged for a few weeks."
Jongho nodded, feeling a bit more relaxed now that he knows that Yeosang is not injured badly. He would be pissed if they did anything else to Yeosang.
"Why are you here?" Jongho asked before he could stop himself.
