"I did." Sabay-sabay kaming natigilan nang marinig ang pamilyar at malamig na boses.
I swear my heart just stopped beating upon hearing that voice. Unti-unting bumaba ang mga kamay ko mula sa aking tenga at dahan-dahang pumihit ang ulo ko sa aking likuran. Doon naming natagpuan ang pares ng seryoso at madilim na mata ni Astrid.
The bottom hem of her white, gold, and red royal mantle was soaked in red stains. She's not wearing a crown, but rather, she's holding a gun. Kasunod niya ang mga lalaking naka pormal na uniporme sa likod. Halos manlambot ang mga buto ko nang makita ang badge ng royal army sa kanilang mga dibdib.
"Ate?" I muttered. Siya.. ang nag tago sa akin sa Pilipinas at hindi ang mga magulang ko?
"Arrest them." Utos niya sa malamig na tono.

Umalingawngaw ang sunod-sunod na putukan, and all I could do is look at my sister's face as she watch our parents lose their minds. "Yana," she called me. When her eyes darted into me, it became soft and worried. She took a step forward to get me, but I was immediately pulled back when my papa dragged me.
"Ah!" It was so fast that I just found myself being strangled with my papa's arm, with the nose of his gun pointing directly onto my temple. Nanginig ang mga mata ko.
"Non muoverti di un centimetro! La ucciderò!" (Don't move an inch! I'll kill her!)
"P-papa.." my voice broke. I couldn't believe he's holding me hostage. I saw the royal guards dragging my mother. Pinosasan nila ito habang nagsisisigaw.
Basag ang mga tasa sa sahig at nakadapa ang mga tauhan nila. The royal army are now surrounding me and my dad. Ate Astrid's face became murderous. Tila ba nagdidilim ang paningin niya sa nakikita ngayon.
"Sei fuori di testa?!" (Are you out of your goddamn mind?!) she yelled at papa. "Lasciala andare!" (Let her go!) Her voice was like thunders.
"Hai lasciato andare tua madre! O ucciderò tua sorella!" (You let go of your mother! Or I'll kill your sister!)
