Tommy was about to get on the train but spotted Purpled running towards the train. He quickly saved Purpled a seat and grinned while leaning against the train station doors, watching him run.
"Saved you a seat." Tommy grinned. Purpled rolled his eyes with a grin. "First time you're doing it for me instead of the other way around." He said, both of them entering the train and sitting down. "I'm surprised you were able to save me a seat," Purpled said with a smirk and Tommy scoffed.
"What, you thought that I'll always be late?" Tommy said with a grin. Purpled stared at him with a deadpan expression. "Tommy. I'm always the one who saves you a seat." Purpled said. Tommy nodded. "Yeah, so?" He said and Purpled groaned.
"It's because you're always late, Tommy." He said and realisation finally hit Tommy. "Oh." He said blankly. Purpled burst into laughter and Tommy smiled slightly. They spent the rest of the journey talking until they reached the elevator at the headquarters.
"Hello, Timothy and Purpled!" Sam Nook said cheerfully. "Hello!" Purpled said with a smile. "I'll drop Purpled off first, then Timothy. Because the SBI's floor is the top floor, is that okay?" Sam Nook said, closing the elevator doors.
"That's fine, Sam Nook," Tommy said with a smile. Sam Nook talked to them for a bit longer, and then Purpled's floor arrived. Purpled said goodbye to Tommy, and then Sam Nook dropped Tommy off at the SBI's floor.
"Have a good day, Timothy!" Sam Nook said and Tommy smiled. "You too, Sam Nook." He said, waving goodbye to Sam Nook. Timothy started walking to his office when Phantom poked his head out of his own office door. Literally. He didn't open the door, he just stuck it through the door.
"Hey, Timothy!" Phantom said and Tommy stifled a laugh. "Hello, Phantom." He said. He didn't know if he should be concerned, scared, or laughing. Maybe a mixture of the three. "How are you?" Phantom asked from the door. "Pretty good, you?" Tommy said with a smile.
"Eh, could be better." He smiled sadly and Tommy knew he was thinking about Fundy. Tommy's eyes softened. Even if Phantom was a hero, he didn't deserve to have his son taken away from him. "I'm really sorry about your son, Phantom," Tommy said and Phantom nodded. "Thanks, Timothy." He said and Tommy nodded as Phantom's expression changed. It was like he just remembered something.
"Alright, so just wanted to say, since today is the last day before the festival, there's going to be a lot more work to do. I'm trying to lessen the work load on you but it's still a lot." Phantom said, and then thought for a while.
"And since tomorrow is the festival, there's no work tomorrow. Tomorrow is all about the festival." He said with a smile, and Tommy nodded. "Oh, and Niki's still going to make the food for the festival, right?" Phantom asked and Tommy laughed and nodded.
"Do not underestimate the powerful Niki. She bakes so fast, it's like she has a superpower." Tommy said and Phantom laughed. "Alright, well, I'll let you get to work now. Bye!" Phantom said, starting to pull his head out the door. Tommy smiled.
"Bye!"
