Questions X for the X Final

I looked over to see a battered Gon and a tired Kurapika and Leo.

"What happened to you?" Killua asked.

Gon scratches the back of his head and says.

"Sorry, we got into some trouble with a snake trap."

I was in my fox form as I climbed into Gon's arms. I snuggled into his cheek to tell him that I missed him. I wanted to stay like that, in his warm protective arms. But, I hopped out of his arms and went to Kurapika and Leo.

"Yip!" I barked.

I ran over to leo rubbed my tail against their legs. They both smiled at me. I ran behind a tree and transformed into my girl self.

"Gon, Kurapika, Leo! You had me worried." I said.

They apologized to me and I gave them a hug. We all entered the boat and talked about what happened. Mikasa was talking with Hisoka. Everything was fine and soon we pulled up to the docks. I gave a small sneeze that no one noticed. I felt dizzy and kinda fuzzy. I ignored it and chatted with Mikasa when we entered the ship.

"Contestants! Please settle down. You are all going to have an interview with the chairman. This is not apart of the next phase, so don't be alarmed." The frog man said.

"Follow me." He told all of us. I followed, a fake smile to hide the pain I'm in.

He pointed to a room and I walked in, without complaint. I saw the chairman sitting there. I walked over and sat down.

"Hello, Kikumi. How are you? I see you've turned back into a human." The chairman said.

I gave a small wave and said

"I'm ok and yes, I'm back as a human. Thank you."

He chuckled at my thank you.

"Ok, now down to business. All I'm going to ask you is who would you want to fight and who wouldn't you." He asked with a smile.

"I don't want to fight anybody, really. But if I'm forced to, then I'll fight Newt. I didn't like him very much. I never want to fight Gon, Killua, Kurapika, or Leo. I know they want to become hunters. I don't want to stand in their way." I said, sadly

"You may go. Have fun, little kitsune." He calls after me.

I walk out and decide I'm going to ask Gon if I'm sick. I don't feel well at all.

"Gon?" I pull on Gon's hand as he continued to talk with everyone. I felt weird, a little lightheaded. I went off to go clear my head. I stumbled down the hallway.

'Wow, was it always this hot in here?' I thought through my hazy thoughts.

I continued to stumble forward and tried to make it to a spare room.

'I don't want anyone sick because I may be sick.' I thought.

I almost made it to the room, when I started to collapse. I braced for the cold impact of the floor, but I didn't feel it. Instead, I was met by brown eyes.

"Kikumi, are you ok!?" He shouted.

He felt my for head and said

"Your burning up. Here."

He picked me up bridal style and carried me to a quiet bench. He ran to go get a damp paper towel for my fever. When he was gone, I saw a person I didn't want to see. Newt. He came around the corner and I his under the bench. He didn't notice me and walked away. I sighed.

*Gon's POV*

I can't believe Kikumi is sick and she didn't tell me. I ran to get a wet towel for Kikumi. On my way there, I saw Kurapika and Mikasa in a room, talking.

'I wonder what their talking about? Stop, I need to focus. Kikumi.'

I ran past them and into the boys bathroom. I grabbed a bunch of paper towels and I made them damp. I raced out of the bathroom as quick as I could. I was neering her when I passed this strange man in the hallway. I ignored him and went back to Kikumi. I come back to see her shaking under the bench. I smiled at her and she slowly came out.

I set her down on thr bench and placed the rags on her head. She smiled at me and I smiled back at her.

'She needs something to eat. I know, soup.' I think as I pick up the sick girl in my arms. I set her down gently on the ground. I walked into the kitchen and ask

"Can I have some soup? My friend got sick on the island."

She nodds and goes to prepare a meat based soup.

I hear her whimper from outside. I go out there to see her crying.

"Shh, it's ok. Don't cry." I comfort her.

She stops crying and looks at me with tears in her eyes.

"You are a really good friend. Thank you for doing this for me." She said in a sad voice.

I brush a strand piece of hair out of her eyes and she smiled.

"Your always looking out for me. Thanks, friend." Kikumi said.

She came walking up to me and gave me a peck on the cheek.

"This is a thank you for being the best friend and family to me." Kikumi said.

I sat her down as she ate her meal, not caring if people were staring.

I smiled at the petite girl with orange hair.

'She's like a little sister to me. I promise, after we search for my dad, we'll hunt down the person who murdered her sister.'

She ate the soup with little difficulty and her fever went down a little.

"Gon?" She asked.

"Yea?" I asked.

She looked at me and smiled. She said.

"Thanks for taking care of me."

"No problem."

*Time skip*

After a couple of hours, her fever went down.

"Yay, I'm all better! Thanks Gon." She shouted.

I smiled at her cheering.

"Your welcome, Kikumi. Let's go play some games now, ok?" I asked her.

"Sure!" She said, excited.

We ran off to arcade, her smiling all the way.
