*Kikumi's pov*
Months have passed after the last guard has waken up, and mom is growing closer to her due date. I'm running around, doing things and being helpful, as I brought a bit of happiness into the ant hill.
Leon the lion man still hates me, but I know that most of them don't hate me, and some actually respect me as their princess.
I guess all was going well.
I haven't seen those two humans in a while, so it's a plus if I never see them again.
On one of my daily chats with mom I noticed that she was growing weaker, as she and I would cuddle more instead of her moving, and I could tell she was in a bit of pain.
"Mom?" I asked.
Mom just kept breathing weird, as she looked to be in a lot of pain now.
"Mom?!" I asked, turning around to face her fully. My tail brissled up in alarm.
"Kikumi.....Sweetie....Go..Get someone. I'm going into labor." She said, grunting.
I nodded, kissing mom's cheek, before I got up, running as fast as I could go. "Help! Help! Mom's going into labor."
The ants looked up at me with this odd look in their eyes, as no one made a move to leave...And they went back to doing whatever they were doing.
I looked at the nest, bewildered. "Your.....Not going to help your queen?! She could die!" I asked, as I shouted a bit.
"Kikumi..." Colt said, gently, getting up and walking over to me.
"She's gonna die." Leon butted in, as he looked up at Colt. "And the sooner she does, we'll have our king and new queen, you princess." Leon said, as tears pricked my eyes.
"Is this true, Colt?" I asked my loyal friend and guardian during these past few months.
"I'm afraid so." Neferpitou (pitou) said, as she shad snuck in the room without me noticing.
"Well still be with you, my beautiful princess." Shaiapouf (pouf) said, as his colorful wings floated him above the rest.
Menthuthuyoupi (youpi) patted my head, gently, as I started to cry.
"I....I want to go watch....But I don't want to be alone..." I said, as I gently grabbed Youpi's hand, pulling him to the door. "Will the royal guard go with me? Please?" I asked, using my cute eyes, my fox ears curled up to make me look cute.
Pitou sighed, as she rubbed my fox ears. "Sure, princess." She said, kindly.
Pouf picked me up, as I giggled slightly, and the three of them walked off with me.
Suddenly, Colt ran to catch up with the three guardsmen.
They eyed him down, as Colt shrunk back slightly.
"Colt?" I asked, confused. "I thought..." I started.
"I'm coming for you....Not for the queen or the king.....I'm coming because you asked." Colt said, giving me that kind smile I look forward to seeing everyday.
"Thanks Colt! It means a lot to hear that coming from you." I said, as I leaned over, giving him a hug.
"No problem, princess." Colt said, as he looked up at the still glaring royal guardsmen.
"But... Honestly....I'm sure you'd rather not see it....I bet it will be grusome, and I'm sure you all still love your queen. It will hurt you and them to see her like this. So....While I appreciate it....Stay out here, please?" I asked, kindly, as I gave him a smile.
My speech shocked even the royal guardsmen, as Colt bowed. "As you wish, my princess." He said, as he turned around slightly, walking back.
"That was very mature of you, my princess." Pouf said, tickling my sides with his long fingers.
I giggled childishly, as I smiled. "Thanks. I hope my future husband likes me." I said, a bit worried.
"No.....Worries...." Youpi said, as he patted my head.
"Ok, I'll take your word for it, Youpi!" I said, as I smiled, as the group pauses at my mom's door.
"Ready?" I asked my loyal guardsmen.
"As you wish, my princess." Pitou said, once again, as she turned the corner, and I instantly regretted it.
Blood.
That's all I could smell.
"Mom!" I screamed.
"KikuMIIIII!" She screamed, as she felt the little sack cracking.
I got out of Pouf's arms, running over to my mom, as I grabbed her hand.
"Can I help?" I asked, frantically.
"Just....Stay here....With me...honey." mom said, as she screamed out in pain again.
I held her hand, as I traveled down to her abdomen. It was thrashing and pushing on the walls.
Suddenly, a little tail thing poked out, cutting the sack, as mom shouted in pain.
I let go of moms hand, as I let her hold my tail instead. I slowly reach the hole and help the tail make it wider for it to pry it open.
Once I did that, this tall, big ant stepped out, as he had a really long tail and his nen was nothing like I've ever felt before.
The whole nest was frozen in fear. He was so strong.
The king looked down at me, and snarled. "you look insignificant. Back out of the way." He said, and my heart dropped.
The royal guardsmen stood at attention, as they tried not to shake at his power.
Mom let out a weak cough, as I ran to her. "mom, it's ok. I'm right here." I said.
The king turned around. "mother. What is this...mother?" He asked.
"T-this is my mom. And your mom, my king. I....I am your queen....I am the princess while she's still here..." I said, kissing mom on her bug face.
The king thought about that for a moment. "You do look quite nice for a queen...." The king said, taking me in.
"Mom, are you going to name him too?" I asked, as I looked at him.
"Your name, my son, is Meruem..." The queen said, as she coughed, spitting up blood.
"Mom!" I shouted, worried.
"You said you can't be queen till she's dead, am I correct?" Meruem asked me, as I nodded.
Meruem gently grabbed me with his tail, as he lifted me up into his arms. "Alright. Let us go, my queen. I shall make a new kingdom for us, and then you will bear my son." Meruem said, as he started to walk off.
"Mom! I love you!" I shouted to her.
"Go my child. I love you too." She said, spitting up more blood. She was almost dead.
I blinked away my tears, and looked forward. Onto a new life, with my king.
