*Franklin's POV*

Their was this whining noise that drove me from my dreamless sleep.

I looked over for the sound and found Kikumi, curled in in the small room, crying. Tears streamed down her flushed cheeks and her fox ears were curled up tight. Her tail twitched in fright.

Now, I don't know why I do, but I have sympathy for her. She's a lost little thing with the most annoying father on the planet.

So, despite my bed being warm, I got out of it and went to the crying child with the orange hair.

"Shh. It's going to be ok now." I whispered to her and she seemed to calm down at that point, so I started to leave, when I noticed she grabbed my arm.

I sighed, quietly, and laid down on next to her on her bed, letting her snuggle my arm.

"Goodnight, Kimi." I said, coming up with a nickname for her. (A/N sounds like Kemi.)

*Kikumi's POV*

I opened my eyes to see the tall ceilings above me.

I looked over to see Franklin, sleeping next to me.

I giggled a little, when I realized that I was snuggling his arm.

"F-franklin?" I asked, worried about what happened while I sleep.

"Hmm?" He hummed, groggly.

"What h-happened?" I stuttered.

Franklin looked at the position he saw me in and patted my head in reassurance. He rubbed my ears and I kinda purred a little.

"Oh, you were crying in your sleep, so I came over to check on you and you clung to my arm." He explained, making me feel better.

"O-oh. I'm s-sorry." I apologized, still stuttering.

"Its ok, Kimi." He said, coming up with a nickname for me.

Once he said that, he got all flustered and embarrassed. I giggled at his reaction.

"Its ok, Franky." I said, giving him a nickname.

I smiled as he laughed at my cute nickname for him.

"So, Kimi, what can I do to make you transform?" He asked, after he was done laughing.

"Hmm, maybe playing in the field again." I said, making him smile again.

"Let's go, Kimi." He helped me out of my bed and I raced to the play field that Kortopi made for me, with Franky following close behind.

I picked him another flower crown, this one with forget-me-nots.

"For me?" He looks shocked.

"Yea, silly. I made it for you." I said, more comfortable around him.

I started to make another one when I turned to look up at this girl who came in.

She had pink hair and was wearing Japanese clothes.

"Hi there, m-miss. I don't t-think you m-met me. I'm K-Kikumi. What's your n-name." I said, trying to get her to like me and my stuttering coming back.

"Machi. I was the one with the string on your leg." She said, devoid of a lot of her emotions.

Except pity and sympathy.

'I can use those.' I thought, happily.

"Miss?" I asked, making my voice sounds sadder.

"What?" She said, in a less harsh tone than she normally does.
