A New X Ant X Princess

*Kikumi's POV*

"A...princess?" I asked the queen, no mom, shakily.

"Why, of course. You are the most beautiful of all of my ants, even if your were a lab ant. You will make the best children with my king." Mom said, smiling down on me.

"Ok." Was all I could muster because I was so terrified. My tail shivered in fear.

"Now, run along and introduce yourself to my subjects, while Pig creates a feast for the new arrival of the princess." The queen said, smiling sweetly.

"Yes, mom." I said, making her smile grow, if that was possible.

"PIG!!!" She yelled and this guy who looked like a pig came running in.

"Yes?" He asked.

"Prepare a feast of the new princess's arrival. Lets make it lots of humans for the both of us." The queen commanded.

'Human?!' I thought in my head, shocked.

"Excuse me, mom. The scientist never let me eat human, so could I have some berries instead?" I said, hoping it would make her less likely to kill humans for food.

"You've never had human? Well, Pig, make a special batch of human for her, one with lots of berries." Mom said, making me kinda upset on the inside.

Once Pig left, the queen turned to me and smiled.

"Sweetheart, come sit with me." She said, and I crawled into her lap.

A sudden wave of peacefulness washed over me and I relaxed.

Suddenly, my mind went fuzzy for a moment, then everything was cleared. Mom started to brush my hair with her claw like fingers. I smiled.

'So this is what a mother's gentle touch feels like.' I thought, happily.

I purred and the queen laughed.

"Sweety, even though this is the first time we've met, I feel like I already know you and love you." Mom said.

I nodded and hummed in agreement.

'She's right. It does feel like I've met her before.'

Suddenly, an image flashes through my brain.

*flashback*

A freshly born baby girl is bundled up in rosy cloth, Her tiny fluff of orange hair did nothing to cover the orange ears on her head. Her similar orange tail swung back and forth in happiness. The baby purred, getting the mom to laugh at her silliness.
The mother looked joyous onto the child. But the father was no where to be seen.

"Guess its just you and me, sweetheart." The mother says.

The baby girl cooed and the mother smiled.

"I love you, baby..."

*end of flashback*

I gasped and looked up at the queen.

"Mama?" I asked.

"Yes." She replied, looking at me.

'She doesn't remember me.' I thought, my feelings crushed.

"Dinner." Said Pig, coming out of nowhere.

"Ah, thank you. That will be all." Mom said, and Pig rushed out of there.

"You take the first bite. I'm sure it really doesn't have humans in it, he's a cheapskate." Mom persuaded after she saw that I wasn't eating.

I lifted the small meatball to my mouth and took a bite. A sweet fruity taste filled my mouth and I found myself eating more.
