*Kikumi's POV*

I opened my eyes to see the pale ceiling of the inn above me.

I heard Gon snoring in his corner of the room and Killua mumbling a little bit.

'Now, I can train.' I thought.

I got up, quietly. My clock read 1:59 in the morning.

I quietly went out the door, pausing at the door to smile at Gon's and Killua's sleeping faces. I quietly walked down the hall, careful not to wake anyone. I ran into the chilly night.

'Brr. Maybe I should have changed clothes.' I thought, looking at my outfit.

I was wearing comfortable white shorts and a orange tank top.

I continued to run until I reached the dog park.

"Let's start training." I said to myself, as I walked into the park.

Inside held some jumping hoops, a balance beam, and a tree poking inside the fence.

I turned into a fox and got myself ready to run the course.

As I was about to begin, I notice a stray dog start to come near me.

"Hello?" I ask, shyly.

"Howdy. What are you doing this early hour?" He replied.

"Umm....I'm......" I stutter.

I'm always weary of new people. He noticed this and smiled.

"I mean no harm, I promise." He told me.

"Excuse me, sir. But, could you time me?" I asked.

"What?" He asked, confused.

"I'm racing the track. Would you time me?" I asked again.

"Oh, sure." He said.
"On your mark...
Get set
Go!"

I sprinted off at the start, jumping through the hoops and racing across the balance beam. I sprinted up the tree and jumped down from the highest branch. I landed onto the fence, running along the cold metal. As soon as I was done, I sprinted to the stray and huffed

"What.....was.....my.........time?"

"One minute, 20 seconds.

"Really? Yes." I said, excited.

The stray smiled at me.

"What's your name?" The stray asked.

"What's yours?" I replied, not trusting him.

He laughed and said

"The name's Zookie."

"My name is Kikumi." I told him, quietly.

"I'd better be leaving. My owner will worry about me." Zookie said to me.

"Oh, ok. Bye." I said with a smile.

I ran back to the inn before Gon and Killua woke up, when I was stopped by a string.

I pulled on it a little and I became free.

'Huh? That was strange.' I thought.

I went on my merry way, back to the hotel.

I turned into my girl self and ran up to my room. When I opened my door, everyone was still sleeping, so I crawled into bed and fell asleep.

*time skip*

The sounds of birds chirping filled my ears as I sat up.

'Today's the day.' I thought.
