This poem is dedicated to my older brother, who recently just turned twenty five :)•••
There's a boy here on Earth
He's ignited up a spark
Spreading like a forest fire
Lighting up the dark
He said "What if there's a chance,
That there is a creator?
And painting all our stories
Is the illustrator."
Then he asked, "did anybody hear?
Out there waiting is there someone else?
Besides mankind,
My sister and myself?"
Watching for the meteors
Out of curiosity
Was there more beyond
The stars than we could see?
Oh, he had faith
That there was more
Waiting behind
And intergalactic door.Outlying in the galaxy
An encompassed planet
There lays an girl
Too eccentric, unexpected
She said, "my good creator,
Tell me, do you know,
Is someone staring up at me,
Far, far below?
Is there someone out there,
Are we not alone?
Will I no longer face
This macrocosm on my own?"
When risen from stardust,
Had there been more in this abyss?
Different from the rest of us,
Perhaps they still exist? With many moons and suns,
Forests and seas,
The stars and the tides,
The wind in the air
Out in outer space everybody asked,
"Is there anybody out there?"
