Lucky Penny

I found a copper penny
Along the streets of New York City
I stowed it in my pocket, wishing for some luck
Though there was not a wishing place in sight, oh, what a pity
So I went back home to Baltimore
And again I kept this penny
I searched the streets in hope for a fountain
But again, I did not find any
So I packed up my bags
And I left for Washington D.C.
And this time I found a pond, full of shiny coins
But it just wasn't special enough, not for my lucky penny
So my brother called me up
Told me to visit him for some time a plenty
And so there I found a well, deep with waters blue
And there I wished for another one of my very lucky penny
