I'm Waiting

I'm waiting, just to let you know
I sit outside, hoping your voice is what I'll hear
But all I get is the howling wind
Crying with woe, daring for me to get near
I dream, just to let you know
I hope that you will speak to me
But my dreams are as meaningless as always
As I wait for a certain somebody
I understand, just to let you know
You might not be able to come down and show me a sign
But I wish you could
It's not like anybody is waiting to see me in line
I miss you, you know
I want to see you once again
And share more memories with you, and tell you what I've done
But as always, I end up with only the rain
I wonder if you see me, you know
And I wonder that if you could talk to me, you would
And I know you might still be on your journey
But is it too late to turn around, just so we're understood?
I know I probably won't see you again, you know
At least not for a long long time
But by then I will have changed, and won't be who I am now
And these words may no longer be mine
I'm still waiting, just so you know
Because I still have hope and faith
So I'll be listening to the trees, the wind, the rain, the stars
You know, just in case.
