Chapter Eight How Do You Choose?

Another longer chapter! YAY!!!

Most of the choices were easy. Fire is Sean. Earth is Mia. Wizardry is Jen. It's water that frustrates me. There's Chrystal, Alexis, Annabel, Rae, and Andy. Water is by far the most common power for someone to have. I had narrowed it down to Chrissy (Chrystal) and Alexis. But I can't freaking decide. They are both awesome people, and they are both amazing Aqualettes.

That is when it hits me. A freaking contest!!!!!!!!!!

I walk to the end of the hallway and bang on the gong. "Sean, Mia, Jen!" I yell into the enchanted gong. "Kitchen!"

I gently float down through the hole in the floor, careful not to get caught on the ladder (for losers who can't fly). Again. Yes again. I have gotten my skirt caught on the ladder more than once. Your savior everybody!

Anyhoo! A few minutes later the three had come out of various rooms and sat down at the kitchen table.

"Hello fellow idiots!" I start, looking around at the faces of each person. "So I have gathered you today because of an important topic that has come up." I drop the fancy voice before saying "you dip-shits get to save the world with me!" I see various looks of surprise, excitement, fear, and confusion.

"What about an Aqua?" Jen asks suspiciously. "What are you getting us into?"

I grin evilly. "A CONTEST!!!!" Jen rolls her eyes and I look at everyone else. "You people are boring." I huff and start to explain. "So the two contestants arrrrrrrrrrre... CHRISSY AND LEXI!!!"

Sean looks at me confused. "But there is no Lexi here."

I look at him with a glare that says, "You're an idiot!" I blink a few times. "Your sister." I say and a look of embarrassment and realization comes to his face. "Anyhoo! We will have many tests. One for looking for things. One for killing things and one for doing other things and one for doing more things." Wow. I suck at explaining. My own boyfriend doesn't even understand. "HELP ME MAKE A CONTEST!" I yell. Sean and Mia jump and Jen disappears.

I stand up and walk across the room to the door to Jen's study. "Get out here!" I start banging on the door until she opens it. We both walk back over to the table and sit down. "Let's get back to business!" I sing to the tune of some Mulan song I've never actually heard.

Mia rolls her eyes and looks at me. "You my friend," she starts, looking me dead in the eyes. "Are what we call an idiot." I laugh and her serious expression doesn't waver till I fall out of my chair. Which of corse causes me to laugh harder.

After I'm done laughing, we actually get to business, planning a contest. We start out making a list of events.

Killing Demons
Making Pretty Things With Water
Sea Creatures Skills
Finding Things

As you can probably tell, I wrote the list. Sean looks over my shoulder. "You really suck at wording things." He tells me, in a jokingly disappointed tone.

"And you love me anyway!" I tease and peck his cheek. Mia pretends to throw up. "Oh your just jelly!" I stand up again and walk over to the pantry. After digging around a little, I find what I'm looking for. Peanut butter. I grab a butter knife and unscrew the lid on the peanut better.

I stick the knife into the peanut butter and rub it all over Mia's face. "What is wrong with you!" She screams, trying to get the chunks out of her hair. I hadn't even noticed it was crunchy peanut butter. That's even better.

"WAIT WAIT WAIT!" I yell as I run to the fridge. I pull out a slice of bread and smash it onto her face. She screams more and soon everyone is on the floor laughing.

Setting up

Event One: Archery (arachy ;P love you too Anime_lover102201 )

This one was easy. Two identical, non-magical bows. A dozen arrows for each contestant. Six moving targets.

Event Two: Demon Killing

This one was fairly simple too. Put nine shadow demons in a box in the flying arena (oh Ya. We have one of those. Jelly yet?) and set them free once the contestants are in there. Whoever kills more wins.

Event Three: Making Pretty Things With Water

We didn't even have to set up for this one. We just need the pond. I SET IT UP ALL BY MYSELF!!!!!!

Event Four: Sea Creatures

This one's the hard one. What we ended up doing is making a giant water tank above the whole field, separating it into six sections. Then we had to get the creatures. Fun. After four and a half hours of torture and near death experiences, all the animals are in.

There's a Kelpie, a water horse that lures victims to ride on its back to their doom. We also have a Ceasg, a mermaid that grants three wishes when captured. An ogopogo, a lake dwelling serpentine creature. An Ahuizotl, an aquatic canine creature with a tail hand. A Bahamut, a colossal fish that is said to be one of the seven layers supporting the earth. And finally, an angry water nymph.

Event Five: finding things

I hide five silver Keys and five gold keys in the forest. One person would find the gold, one would find the silver.

Me and Jen duplicate everything in the fourth event (one set for each person) and everything is set.

It's currently 5:15 so I decide that it shall start at 6:00. "The contest will start at six!" I yell loudly. "Let everyone know and don't tell ANYONE who the contestants are. Not even the contestants! Now I must get ready! Aruva!"

I float up to my room and flip through my dresses before deciding on a strapless white dress with light blue sparkles on the top. I slip it on, but soon find that I can't zip it up.

"MINHO!" I yell through the wall. "COME HERE!"

Minho walks into the room. "What do you want!"

"Zip?" I ask turning my back to her so she can see the zipper. I hear her sigh and she walks over and zips me up. I finish getting ready at 5:55 and I walk down stairs. It's time.
