Chapter twenty Hello Chrystal

The rest of the Arleanas retreat and I look back at my group. "Report!" I yell.

"Some scratches and bruises," Sean says. "But I'm fine."

"Same." Says Jen and Mia.

Alexis groans. "My leg." She mutters. I look at her leg. There's a large gash from her knee to her ankle. And there is blood. Everywhere.

I bite my lips together and try not to throw up. If you may recall, I hate blood.

Jen notices my discomfort and stands between me and Alexis. "She can't continue." Jen says. Alexis groans.

Sean looks absolutely terrified. He's silent with his eyes wide, his usually tan skin is almost as pale as Alexis's.

"You're right." I make a stretcher with my wizard powers and float Alexis onto it. "Can you wrap it Jen?" I ask, not wanting to touch all that blood. She nods and cleans it, covers it in gauze and wraps it tight with an ace bandage.

I float the stretcher behind me and start heading away from where we were originally going.

"Where the hell are you going?" Sean asks, finally finding the will to speak.

"To my mothers house." I respond not looking back. The others follow.

At Tori's mom's house

I knock on the door before opening it. "Mom!" I yell she comes out holding a frying pan like its a sword. She puts it down and hugs me. I quickly hug her back then push her away. "My friend Alexis," I gasp. "She's hurt."

She quickly clears off the table and I float Alexis and the stretcher onto it.

My mom injects her with sedatives and pain killers then washes the cut and sews it up. "Does he know they exist?" She asks Jen.

"No," she replies then turns to Sean. "Legend says that Pyrolites can talk to Phoenixes but most people don't believe they exist, they do one brings my wizards weekly every week. You can call one. They can carry Alexis back." She says quickly.

Sean looks confused, but two minutes later a huge red bird flys in. He starts speaking a different language.

My mom ties two ropes to the stretcher and hands them to the Phoenix and it flies off.

She turns to the group. "I'm Dianne." She says.

Jen runs up and hugs her. Jen knows my mom because she's my cousin on her side.

"So that was Alexis, and Aqualette that you just sewed shut," I say. "This is my boyfriend Sean, a Pyrolite, and this is Mia, a Goetetra."

"It's good to meet you all. Sean you told the Phoenix to bring back another Aqua right?"

Sean nods. "Chrissy."

My mom starts rummaging through the cabinets looking for food. "Mom," I say. "You've checked the bowl cupboard, but not the fridge." She laughs and pulls some strawberries and ice-cream out off the fridge and freezer.

"Sup bitches!"

"CHRISSY!" I yell and run over to hug her. "This is my moother (No I didn't spell it wrong it's pronounced moo-there) Dinanne, mom this is Chrissy.

Chrissy smiles awkwardly, obviously feeling weird that she said "sup bitches" in from of my mother.
