Chapter Thirteen Event Five: Finding Things

There's gonna be a lot of POV switching in this chapter, just so you know. It starts out with Tori's POV though.

"There are ten keys total!" I yell to the crowd, especially Alexis and Chrissy. "Five gold and five silver. Sabotage is allowed, you can hide someone else's key if you find them. You can only bring one key to home base at once." I hold up two boxes with "Alexis" and "Chrystal" written on them. "These are your home bases. You may not come out of the forest with someone else's keys. Me and Minho will be spectating from above. Any questions?" No one answers so I continue. "Alexis you will be collecting silver keys, Chrissy you are getting gold. All keys are in the forest. Ready go!"

Chrystal's POV

I don't really have a strategy for this one. I'm really just looking for shit. After running around the forest for several minutes, I see something shimmery up in a tree. I swing into the tree and grab a shiny gold key from the branches and start sprinting back to the house.

Alexis's POV

For once I wasn't winging an event! Yea! Accomplishments high five! I was going to collect all the keys, then place them just inside the forest and run back and forth between the base and where I'm hiding the keys.

I walk slowly, looking up and down for keys. Then I see the sparkling reflective handle of a silver key. Chrissy sprints past me towards the house. Shit! She already has one too! I stuff the key in my pocket and keep looking.

Chrystal's POV

One down, four to go... I think. One plus four equals five right? lol just kidding! Wait that does equal five right? Yea yea we're good.

I walk around some more before I see another shiny thing. It's a silver key. I quickly dig a small hole with my hands and bury the key in dirt and dead leaves.

After more being boring and looking for things, I finally find my second key and run back to the house.

I look into my box and Alexis's. My box has two keys and hers has none. I'm gonna win!

Alexis's POV

I'm tired of walking. Walkings boring! I summon a wave of water and ride above the tree tops finding one silver and one gold key in the tree tops. Two out of five keys found.

I lower my wave back to the ground and see another silver key I slip all the keys into my pocket and continue to look.

Tori's POV

It's hard to tell who's winning. Chrissy has two keys in her box, but Alexis has three keys in her hand.

Chrissy and Alexis keep looking for the hidden keys until Alexis has all five of hers on her and Chrissy has four in her box. Alexis bolts to a tree that outlines that back yard and places four of her keys there. She runs to her box and quickly puts three of them away.

She has two left and Minho reports that Chrystal found her last key and is on her way back now.

As Alexis runs back for her final key, Chrissy catches up and it's a race to the boxes. Last second someone pulls ahead.

Alexis's POV

I won.
