The doors open to reveal elevators. Just a massive elevator. It's an eight minute ride to the bottom. We come out at what a assume is the top of Tartarus. At one point the doors were chained to the bottom but now they teleport wherever they think they are needed.
It zips away leaving the five of us stranded. "The blade should be at the deepest depths," Jen says nervously.
"We should get moving then," I reply and start walking.
"Uh Tori?" Jen say and I look up. "Wrong way,"
I turn around and walk the other way and everyone follows me.
We avoid many different monsters, but the further we go, the worse they get. There's a scratch on my back and I pull back the arrow in my bow that u was already holding. I look around and see a cluster of six Gorgons behind us. Their snake hair hisses and they attack.
I let the arrow fly and the special bone arrows from Jen hit two of them, killing them on contact. One of the remaining Gorgons jumps and Sean and he stabs it with his sword before it can reach him.
The battle is over soon because we have weapons and they don't, but there's way worse monsters in Tartarus.
"Report!" I yell once the battle's over. I have a row of three cuts on my back and on my leg, but I'll be fine.
"I'm fine," Sean says grabbing the back of his hand that's bleeding slightly.
"Me too," Chrissy looks completely unscratched but she lost two of her arrows in the fight.
"Same," Jen says, but her arm needs some stitches.
"I'm all good," Mia says, already covered in healing leaves.
"Can you grow some more of those?" I ask her and she nods making a bush of them grow on the spot. I press them onto our cuts and we keep moving. An hour later we get to a section covered in a strange red plant.
I sling my bow over my shoulder and grab my sword from my belt and start swinging at the plant. Sean pulls out his sword and does the same. Mia winces at every strike. "Do you have to kill the plant?" she asks.
"Do you have any other ideas blondie?" Sean says and I kick him slightly. "What?" I roll my eyes and Mia glares at us.
"Here's an idea," Chrissy says sounding bored. "I can just float us over using a wave from that river," she starts to make a wave.
"Stop!" I yell and she looks at me, the wave getting bigger and bigger. "I force the wave down with my own water powers. "Do you have any idea what that water could do?" I yell. "We're in Tartarus! That could be the river of Lithe! Or the river of Phlegethon!"
"And... what do those do?"
"Oh you know, only erase your memory and burn you. Nothing major." I say sarcastically.
"Oh...." She looks away and keeps swinging at the plants.
Eventually we get through to see the best and worst sight I have ever seen in my life.
