Tori's POV
"Sunlight!" I yell and toss all my stuff to the ground. I flop onto the soft, green ground with that freshly cut grass smell.
The others join me and I sit up. "So where to now?" Chrissy asks.
"Yea where are you guys headed?" Ryan asks and looks at me with his beautiful blue eyes.
"Well," I look around at my friends. They're counting on me. I can't tell them that I don't know. "We have to find the beast of Balthazar, then kill him with his masters blade." I lift the sword slightly. "Jen, do you anything about anything involving this monster?"
"I know Balthazar's a half wizard, so he used magic and science. He created life, but it didn't quite go right. Sorta like a modern-day Frankenstein." She replies.
I nod. "Anyone else know anything?"
"Merlin's study isn't far from here, we could find something on him there." Ryan says. Sean glares at him and mutters something. I whack his arm with the back of my hand.
"Lead the way!""You guys okay?" I ask Chrissy and Mia. "You've barely said a word all day."
"I just miss Andy." Chrissy mutters and smiles a little. I can tell she's lying, but decide to drop it for now.
I look to Mia. "It's just..." She starts. "I feel like the others just take the Earth for granted. After what we just went through... I just wish they knew."
"Okay...." We walk in silence for what feels like an hour before we stop.
"We're here." Ryan syas, he face drained of all hue.
"You okay?" I ask, placing a hand on his shoulder. He fakes a smile and nods. He leads us to the center of a field. he takes a step forward and disappears.
Cautiously, I stick a hand through where he disapeared. I can feel my hand, but I can't see it. I pull it back out, still in tact.
"It's fine!" Ryan yells from nowhere. I walk through and into a dimly-lit, circular room. The walls are covered in books and a desk sits in the center. Thousands of scrolls sit in spiral displays on either side of the dest. "Balthazar?" Ryan asks and we all nod. he grabs a ladder and it starts to move to the left. he rises up and starts flipping throgh books. "Balthazar!" He yells. "Found it!"
He throws the book down and I open it to page eighty four. I'm not really sure why, something inside me just... told me eighty four. I skim the text until I find something about a beast. Balthazar swore, with his dying breath, that King Nolan would be killed by his own daughter, who would use his only weakness against him. A weakness that was placed inside the beast he created and kept in his castle's darkest dungeon.
"The darkest dungeon in Balthazar's castle." I blurt out. "That's where we'll find it."
