Chrystal's POV

"That's one way to describe it." Tori mutters and starts walking towards the ominous beacon. Her eyes turn a light green and her cheeks become noticeably rosy.
"Tori, no!" I yell as she starts to fly up to the shining weapon. "It can't be that easy, they wouldn't have just put a sword like that in midair!" The others start yelling too, but it isn't her anymore. She doesn't even seem to hear us. The instant she touches the handle, she falls. It has to be a good fifty feet before she hits the ground with a thud. The impact forces red dust into the air, making it impossible to see.
The dust settles and I see her laying, unconsciece.
Every monster turns to us and starts to charge. I create a ball of water from thin air and start to take lead. "Sean, Jen, Ryan!" I bark with a leaderly tone. "I need you fighting on the front lines. Mia! Cover Tori. No objections!"
Mia nods and creates a dome of black roses over her and Tori.
We start blasting the monsters back, but the force of three is nothing compared to six hundred. They soon get to us and I starts to fill lungs with water and they start dropping like flies.

I whip around to find the source. An ugly face, that looks eaten away growls at me. Its breath smells like rotting eggs and burnt flesh. His large fist crashes into my stomach. There's the crack sound of bone, then the first wave of pain. I use the pain to drive enough anger to force a powerful kick right to the face. He swings his arm and I step back, but he still hits my nose, the pain blurring my vision. Blood drips from my nose, and onto my lips.
Adrenaline pumps though my vanes and water drips from my hands, just waiting to be let out. I surround mself in water and use my gils to breathe. I rise up and blast the creature with a pillar of water. It shoots from my hands and pushes the monster to the floor.
I take out my bow and shoot him right between the eyes. I start shooting arrows at the swarm, protecting the others from above.

We're worn out. There's too many. I can't live through this. No one can. Mia's defensive dome is starting to break, and the rest of us can barely move.
The rose dome shatters and a light figure shoots out. Tori! She makes five spheres. one of water, one of fire, one of earth, one of air, and one of pure magic. They blend together and she shoots them at the swarm of mobs.
The sword and the monsters fall to the ground. Tori runs to the blade and picks it up. "Come on." She says. "We have a beast to kill."
