Jennie

Kai picked me up from home and we went out for breakfast at a cafe and now we are outside the wedding card store. It's owned by one of my high school friends, Sally. She asked me to come around 10 am but it's still 9.30 so Kai and I remain in his car, drinking our coffee, and listening to the playlist he made for me.

"Kai, aren't you scared?"

"Of what luv?"

"Future. What would happen in the years to come? Will we make it to the end? Will I be a good wife? What if I-" He interrupts me as he gets off the car, walk around to my side, and open my door.

"Get out." WHAT? "Get out of the car Jennie." I do as he says, afraid of what he might be up to. Is he gonna hurt me like Jungkook hurts Lisa? He opens the back seat door and asks me to get in. Oh. Once I am inside, he follows me inside and closes the door behind him. He then pulls me towards him and wraps his arms around me. "Don't you dare say anything of that sort or even worry about what will happen? Okay?"

I nod.

"Jennie. I don't know what could be in store for us. I don't know anything but the fact that I love you. I only love you. I don't know how to be a good husband or I don't know how to be a good father but I will be the best. I will learn how to. I will make mistakes but will learn. In the same way, you will learn too. Let's grow together Jen. Like we did all these years. We have each other and that is all that matters luv."

I think this is all I needed. His reassurance. He is busy with work and wedding planning so it was silly of me to think that he has no time for me. I forgot that everything he is doing right now is for us. For us to have a great future together. I feel terrible for even having doubts.

"I love you," I whisper as I hug him tighter.

"I love you too my love." He places a soft wet kiss on my forehead and doesn't let go for the next few minutes. We stay in the back seat, cuddling until Sally's car pulls up in the driveway around 9.45.

"You both are early. Are you that eager to get married?"

"Of course we are but I am most excited about the honeymoon," Kai says it in the most innocent way that Sally and I start laughing. "Are you done making the invites Sal?" She nods and walks away into the room inside and brings out a bag of all the invites she made for us. She opens it and gives us one.

IT LOOKS GORGEOUS.

It has the cutest design on the envelope. An aesthetic look with the gold seal on the opening. It's exactly how I wanted it to look.

"You like it?" He asks, staring down at my face. He can probably tell by now that I am literally obsessed right now.

"Yes, I love them. Simple. Elegant.Perfect." I turn towards Sally to thank her.

"No worries Jen. Congrats to you both." I hug her to thank her for her great work.

We pack everything neatly onto the back seat of his car, make the payments to Sally and leave to go buy my heels for the wedding. Today is our free day to get as much work as possible so we make the most of it.

He drove me to a couple of stores but none of them had a pair that I was looking for. Something elegant, simple, not too tall, most preferably gold. After hours and hours of searching, we finally found a pair which was of vintage pink with rose gold leaves on it. They were like a dream.

We grabbed lunch from a restaurant and continued shopping throughout the evening. We both items for the bridesmaids and best men. We have two each, for me it's Jisoo and Rose. My best friends since college, and for Kai, it's Chen and Suho. Kai and I planned on making them gift boxes in order to thank them for being there for us on our big day as well as our whole life.

Next, we went to the mall to get a present for our little boy Liam. It's his birthday tomorrow. I almost forgot it was tomorrow until Kai asked me what he needs to get him.

"What about I get him this big Lego set?" he asks seeing this enormous Lego box. I shook my head. "Why not?" I guess Kai just doesn't understand how to choose a gift for someone else.

"Kai, when you give someone a present, don't think about the things you like. Always take a step back and think about the person. What kind of person are they? What would they like to have?" At least the next time he buys me a gift, he will think about this piece of advice.

"You are right. I know the perfect gift for him!" He literally starts running inside the mall, all the way from the Lego store to a big toy shop. He looks around and I notice how his eyes shine when he spots the thing he was looking for. He quickly makes his way toward the toy car section where he finds a large black toy car in which Liam can sit down and drive. "He has been telling me to teach him to drive my car. He would love this!"

I smile at how excited he looks to buy this. I can't help but imagine what if Jungkook treated Liam the way Kai treats him. Will Liam ask for his dad tomorrow when we throw him a party? I should talk to Lisa about it. Kai pays for the car and gets it packed.

It was so funny and cute to watch him struggle to carry the huge present around the mall until I found my gift. As I watched Kai get his present packed, I thought to myself, 'Maybe I shouldn't give away those hot wheels to Liam. I will buy a new pack for him so that I won't hurt Kai's feelings.' So I head straight to the Hot Wheels store and buy a large pack of cars and we head back to the car park. We struggle to put the huge car in the back seat but we still manage and we sit in the front and let out a sigh of relief after the great struggle and laugh it off.

"I can't wait to buy one for our baby boy in the future."

"Oh, you want a son?" He shakes his head.

"Not specifically but I would love to have one of each," he smirks and says "or even more." I laugh at this but I share the same feeling. Two kids it is but I don't mind more.

"First let's get this wedding over with."

"Jennie." I look at him. "I love you."
