"My last words will probably be sarcastic."

"What is this! Why are they the only ones here?"

Tae-Man's voice pulled me back to the current situation we are facing. Apparently, these prisoners have been locked up here since the beginning, and they had no clue about what is happening in the outside world.

We were now gathered in a circle away from the cells where the prisoners were, trying to process the situation, because we clearly didn't expect to find any survivors in this place, thus we were completely clueless about what to do with them.

"Did the prison officers really leave them behind ?" Tae-Man asked again.

"No one knows what happened. We can't trust what they say." Bo-Ra stated looking back at the cells.

"Well, thanks for never listening to me so I keep getting to say I told you so." I blurted out sarcastically and they all looked at me.

"From what I know, in times of war they release the petty criminals, but they transfer the hard criminals to Busan. So, all of them must be hard criminals. Maybe that's why they were left here and got stuck." Young-Shin said and I switched uncomfortably little uneasy.

"You all saw the red tag earlier, right?" So-Yoon then added making me even more stressed. "Then, isn't he a serial killer or something?"

"Fuck! He looked super scary." Tae-Man said frighteningly, and the he added. "Maybe he is the boss of a gang! And he wiped out his enemy gang before getting locked up."

Even with the seriousness of the situation, I roll my eyes at him as he always seem to find something stupid to say.

"Hey kids! Are you still there? Come here and open these doors to us."

"Fuck! At this rate, we might actually die! Open up!"

"Please save us!"

Our conversation was interrupted by the detainees' calls out and yelling. I sat by Jang-Soo and cautiously peered over at the cells, with no idea what we should do.

"We are not bad people, guys!" One of them said.

"That's exactly what a serial killer would say." I blurted out and the others had to shush me, scared that they could hear me but I couldn't care less.
