⁂ "The nopest nope I've ever noped!"
The following morning we gathered outside, lined up, waiting for Yoo-Jeong's instructions for our mission. I actually knew what we needed to do for today since Jang-Soo had explained it to me the night before.
"The raiding party for squad one. Kim Yoo-Jeong, Jo Jang-Soo, Wang Tae-Man, Yeon Bo-Ra, Choi Young-Shin, No Ae-Seol, Park So-Yoon, Woo Hee-Rak and Kim Su-Jin."
I breathed a sigh of relief as Yoo-Jeong finally announced my name, given that I was concerned Jang-Soo might attempt to convince her to put me on the search team, as he had always desired, claiming that it was more safe and suitable for me.
"And for the search team, Do Soo-Cheol, Cha Su-Yeon, Choi Yeon-Joo, Kook Young-Soo, Lee Na-Ra, Kim Chi-Yeol, Yoo Ha-Na." Yoo-Jeong added, and I couldn't help the smirk that crept into my face.
"Ohh someone got lucky!" I slightly whispered to Soo-Cheol who was right in front of me.
"Shut up!" He simply said.
"Squad one will go to the penitentiary and find the needed parts for the radio. Then on your way back, take care of any detected spheres around. The second squad or the search team will head to the hospital to collect medicine and other supplies that we will need. And finally those who will stay and stand guard are Kim Deok-Joong, Lee Soon-Yi, and Hong Jun-Hee." Yoo-Jeong finished.
"I want to join the raiding party."
Su-Yeon stated, and I couldn't help but sympathize with her, because of what went on with Lieutenant Lee, everybody had been treating her oddly. And as her best friend, and because no one knew her as I did, I knew it was all for naught since she is strong, and the others had better simply let her deal with it on her own terms.
"You are hurt, just join the search team today." Yoo-Jeong stated.
As Bo-Ra started questioning why Ae-Soel was being assigned with the raiding team. I could still see that Su-Yeon had an unconvinced look on her face, and as she went to talk again, I swiftly held her hand, leading her to stare at me and determinedly shake my head at her; she eventually sighed and nodded.
"I want to join the raiding team too, not the search team." Soo-Cheol added, which surprised me because I didn't expect him to pass up an opportunity to be close to Na-Ra.
"Gee! Guys, I appreciate your desire to join the raiding team to ensure my safety, but I promise I'll come back in one piece, okay Soo-Cheol ! Su-Yeon! " I mumbled jokingly referring to my two stubborn best friends, who both ignored me.
