Rolling onto six in the evening, Mary had found herself welcoming Elina and Lady Smallwood into her home. Her home was the safest place to figure out the plan considering that Sherlock and John were preoccupied and Mycroft was doing his daily routine of outcome analysis in interest to how much gross interest the country had gained within six months.
Elina came walking through with a few files handled close to her chest as she greeted Mary and strode through the hallway, into the living room. Sitting down she placed three files neatly together on the table, side by side. She explained to Rosamund and Alicia after brief introductions that there were three options to tackle Charles Augustus Magnussen. "The first one is quite self explanatory, we allow Sherlock and John to deal with it." She shared. "What would be the plus and negatives?" Alicia asked just as Mary came in from the kitchen with a tray of tea. "The plus side would be that he would be handled correctly... The negative would be that it's asking for too much trouble. He has a list of contacts which is more vast and widely known to what James Moriarty had."
"Alright, so what would you choose, Xena?" Alicia turned to ask whilst placing her mug of tea down. Elina shared a knowing look at Mary before sharing her idea. "Rosamund and I can permanently delete him from this world. Think of it as a silent assassination. Of course all the important people, the Holmes boys, would notice but Sherlock would deduce in time with information we unanimously feed to him that he had enemies who wanted him dead. In my experience and I'm sure Rosamund would agree..." Elina patted Mary's shoulder thoughtfully. "Having contacts to settle things and tighten ties is one's way of protection."
"Yes and without that you simply don't have enemies." Mary added on in thought causing a hun of agreement from Lady Smallwood. "I remember very well what the subject of fieldwork can do, I'm not ignorant to such things. What's the best course of action to suggest." Alicia shared and passively prodded on. "Mary and I can sort this out tonight, the quicker the better. We don't want problems to collide with the young Watson being born and I happen to have a friend who can sort the security detail."
"Who?" Lady Smallwood and Mary asked in sync. Elina sat with a straight back and smiled awfully wittily. "Irene Adler, ultimately known as the dominatrix."
"She's alive?!" Alicia seemed a little perplexed. "Yes, she is but you have nothing to worry about. She's a good guy now and has been since her staged death." Elina replied absentmindedly. "If all fails tonight, the fallback plan is a rogue agent got too big for his boots and thought he was clever enough to deceive the government. If that does fail..." Elina stated whilst drawing off leadenly to Alicia. "I shall fire the contact, I presume that you have a body to use?" Lady Smallwood turned to ask. "Yes, Sebastian Moran. Morairty's right hand guy and my sisters fiancé. Before you ask, no she doesn't know who he is. He goes by Tom." That information alone caught Mary's attention and Elina did nothing more but hand her the third file with Moran's life story practically in it.
