Elina appeared to have more eyes set on her as an individual than the whole country did in security. Well that wasn't entirely true but it meant all the same considering that the man in charge of the Government was more interested in what one tall brunette was doing with her life rather than what politicians were failing to do with past tentative words when becoming elected.

It had been two and a half months near enough when he decided to call it quits and perhaps Elina was a little late to get it organised with the Doctor and be assigned a midwife as well as getting her first scan. She was eleven weeks pregnant, smoothly working her way into twelve and Mycroft knew from not seeing her how nervous the whole situation made her.

After her two week recorded break, she returned to work as if all was normal after partaking her opera house and other small music societies to play the introduction of the Olympics but she kept her usual conversations with people she surrounded herself with at a minimum. She usually kept herself in her small quant office and wouldn't go to meetings with all the main staff unless it was absolutely necessary and she most certainly didn't go to Mycroft like she usually would do. Instead, if anything that was deemed decent and needed she would email over just to avoid seeing him.

To the MI headquarters it was as if she was a ghost and that factually was correct because she was becoming the shell of the person she once was.

Elina had requested half of the day off considering it would collide with her appointment and so she left MI headquarters with little thought. She hated how she was using her cane again and she hated how the cane she used was a gift from him. She had started to feel her phantom pain but then again she hated how she was so willing to acknowledge it. The bastard thing!

She made it home only to find Sherlock awfully comfy sat on her singular chair in the living room. He sat with one leg crossed over his knee with a cup and saucer in his hands and a rather large carrier bag sat beside him.

Even though Sherlock clearly wasn't Mycroft, the image of seeing him rattled her something rotten and not a good way. "Sherlock?" She rounded through to the living room and paused in her steps, appearing a little red and flushed in the face.

Catching the attention, Sherlock placed his cup and saucer on the glass of the coffee table and settled back down with arms slung over the arm rests, smiling. "Hello, Elina." He spoke in his usual baritone and softening his smile a little to place her at ease.

"What do you want?" The question came away from Elina in an accusing manner but Sherlock paid no bother to it considering the bigger picture behind it all. "I come in peace." He retaliated, feeling witty and humorous. Elina almost imagined an alien signing peace. Shaking her head and clearing her mind she carefully partook to sit on the double sofa. "And I also come with gifts." With that, he stood to collect the white shopping bag and handing it over before sitting beside her but keeping a remote distance.
