"Am I allowed to know anything about Sebastian Moran?" Elina had asked the next morning, Boxing Day, as she sat by her black dining table idly stirring a spoon in her tea. "You're allowed to know that your sister -" Mycroft was remotely cut off by the daring glare Elina drove across to him in scornful manner. "That Doctor Hooper." He swiftly remedied. "Is no longer associated with him." He furthered along whilst bringing his own cup of tea to the table and taking to sit across from her.

There was a beat of silence wrapped strongly in the air but Elina ignored everything and ventured on. "Anything else I ought to know?" Mycroft raised his cup up to his mouth and looked across to Elina as if she was an insect about to be stood on as he drank. Elina didn't bat an eye at him because there was no way on God's earth that she'd ever back down to the likeness of him or anyone else in the matter. "Oh, my dearest teddy bear." She started off soft and gentle. It was almost alluring to a siren. "I think I'm allowed to know more than you let on. Because after all, I am the one who has to live the rest of my life as a crippled and I can't tell these days if people I know still happen to stand by me are out of pity or out of appreciation!" Elina started off gentle but her tone became a little louder and stern almost sounding abrupt.

Mycroft was a little caught off with her rising tone and manner but he allowed her to express herself accordingly considering that even if he wanted to, which he did, he wouldn't be able to fully comprehend her. "My dauntingly gorgeous woman, do you really care for what others think of you?" He questioned on in earnest. Instead of reacting to his sweet words in endearment, Elina had scowled like a stroppy cat. "Not really, but I have every right to be selfish right now." With that she crossed her arms over herself and clenched her jaw.

Downing his tea, Mycroft laughed quite brightly at her reaction as he placed his cup and saucer aside and stood only to hold a hand out and help Elina up, pulling her up into a hug. Even though Elina was taller than average, her hourglass figure was something Mycroft admired greatly when compared against his own. Perhaps it was down to genetics and evolution to evaluate and remedy that Mycroft being a male was attracted to Elina, a female because of her body. He was a man after all but the main attraction would forever be her mind and in particular, her sarcasm. Elina rather enjoyed how Mycroft's torso seemed to cocoon her because it made her feel grounded and safe. It was as simple as that.

"In terms of appreciation..." Mycroft spoke lowly with a head dipped down so he could practically talk in her ear and for Elina to hear the vibration resonate through his chest. "I don't hold an explanation as to why you pull me in because you simply just do but what I do know is that you've always seemed to have a gravity that I've never been able to overcome." That was the thing about Mycroft. No matter how hard he tried to set a distance emotionally or physically to Elina, he always had the ability to walk into her heart like he knew he belonged there. It may of been his voice, or his expression or even his physique but he always held the power to light her wild soul afire.
