Audrey Harris
Harry has been acting..... strange.
I knew he was a touchy feely kind of person but this? This is a little much.
"Did you talk to Alex?" I ask him as we watch Felix run around the room with Teddy. It's almost been a week since we saw them and everything went down, and no word from Serena.
Harry shuffles on the couch, making sure at least one part of him is still touching me.
I'm trying to keep my eye from twitching.
"Yeah... they're still here." He says with a wince.
"What!" I shoot up off the couch. This has gone on too long, someone needs to be the bigger person and hash all of this out.
"Audie, sit down. Please? C'mere." Harry pulls me back to the couch.
He starts trailing his fingertips up and down my arm and I hate to admit it's actually calming me down. "Alex wants to meet up with us for lunch today. S'that alright?"
I lean into him, "All of us?"
"Just us and her. Serena's doing something for work today."
The comfort I get just from knowing Serena won't be in attendance today cracks my heart but I try not to think about it and revel in the comfort that Harry brings me.
We still haven't really talked about what's going on between us since Christmas and I'm not sure who will break first. He hasn't brought it up but with the way he's been acting this past week I think it's safe to assume that he's happy Max is no longer in the picture.
He's constantly cuddling up to me on the couch, our fingers brush almost every time I walk past him, he squeezes me any chance he gets, and hugs are very dire to him.
I've never been with someone so touchy before. Not that we are together or anything...
It's definitely taking me a minute to get used to, especially when I get in moods like this when the last thing I want is someone touching me every second.
But, I have grown a liking to it. And it helps a lot more than I'd ever like to admit, his touches are always grounding they never add to the panic. He feels the safest out of everyone.
"And we're gonna talk?" I say suspiciously.
He raises a brow at me as he wraps his arm over my shoulders. "Yes?"
I sigh and rest my head on his shoulder, "I don't wanna fight anymore."
He relaxes into me and kisses the top of my head. "I know, me either. But if we can talk to Alex, we can talk to Serena. Then we'll figure out what we do after."
I can't help but wonder if the whole 'after' thing will include a conversation about whatever the hell we're doing right now on my couch.
"H?"
"Hm?"
"What are we doing?"
Harry's quiet for far too long.
"Y'know we have to talk about it right?"
"I- I know that. I just, I can't. Not yet." His voice is tense, like he doesn't trust his words, like there's too much to say but he can't find the words.
"Okay." I sigh and push myself from the couch and go to walk to my room.
"Babe wait." He sighs, "That's not- can we just talk later?" He gets up and follows me to my room, but not before flicking on the TV and plopping Felix on the couch.
