It was a Thursday afternoon after I got home from school. I had discussed with my football coach the possibility of being wait-listed or deferred from Harvard. The coach entirely understood and stated that I needed to improve my essay before the final decision date. I just had to consider what I should write about. I'd been reading and rereading the same piece over and over. I had been doing this crap both at school and outside of school. I was convinced the writer's block killed me since I needed to finish such an awful essay. I felt it was a fantastic document, but I wanted a greater understanding of my life.

Most of it was about my football career, my late father's death, and other topics. I'm not sure if I needed to clarify anything further since I would have finished my senior year, but I won't be drafting a new outline for the time being. Before school ended, my phone rang, and it was a text message. Josie was the one. Oh, I nearly forgot. I had two friend dates with her scheduled for today and tomorrow. I recalled I had to drive her to the mall and the carnival the next day.

I texted her I would pick her up when Melanie wasn't being such a jackass about why we were both hanging out without telling my girlfriend. Melanie was sending me conflicting signals, and I wasn't sure whether I was a good boyfriend to her.

"Your girlfriend will not be home, Dax. She says she has somewhere to go with Jake," Josie replied as she returned the text message. I texted her a happy emoji, and she responded with a stupid one. I realized that talking to Josie wasn't that horrible after all. When the bell sounded, I went straight to packing my belongings and leaving school to drive home.

After that, I picked up Josie, who was naturally gorgeous today. She was dressed extremely comfortably and casually. I couldn't stop fawning over her natural curls. As the temperature warmed up, it became moist and glistening. "Hey, yo boy," she called out.

"What's up, Josefina?" I asked, smiling at her. She giggled as she shook her head with a grin.

"I'm doing well today, and it's so boring," she said, "so I'd like to discuss what you saw with me." I gasped as I recalled watching her masturbating the day before.

"Oh, you mean what I saw you doing with your finger thing?" I said it uncomfortably, and she burst out laughing.

"Daxton, don't be so stupid," she said, laughing. "I didn't mean it for you, so I just needed some pleasure for myself." She was using her fingers to curl her hair. The scent of her perfume made me want to hold her in my arms. I shook my head and needed to concentrate. Josie has been a major distraction to me since she arrived.

"Oh, okay, I mean, it was awkward for me to see you. I rarely watch porno shit," I said.

"Daxton, this was the first time you saw me like that," she added. I choked on what she was telling me. "Relax; you're cool, by the way. You will not see me like this again." I suddenly put my hands on my chest so I could take a moment to breathe a little. I panicked a little, but Josie calmed me down for sure.

"You won't tell Melanie what I saw?" I asked her. She shook her head to say no.

"I won't; your secret is safe with me," she beamed. I didn't know if she really liked how I watched her or if she was being too flirty but had already set her boundaries with me.

"Okay, well, so are you ready to go to the mall that I always went to growing up?" I asked her.

"Badass ready, city boy," she smiled. She turned on the music and put on some Rauw Alejandro music that she usually listens to. It was the newest album he made. I liked that type of music. It gave me the best vibes that I could get inside my blood vessels. It made me feel like I wanted to sing or dance at the same time. She definitely had good taste in music. I began driving the car while she was the princess passenger of the day. She was looking so flawless out there.
