Third P.O.V
"Ladies and gentlemen of Camp Jupiter!" Announced the false Praetor Ronan. The people were gathered at the stadium for his eruptively proclamation. Despite their hate and dread for this man, the people shut down their urge to revolt, knowing what happened the last time it happened.
And the people were about to get another warning.
"I gathered you all here for a recent development," Ronan however, was shaking with glee. He loved nothing more than having the command of an entire sea of warriors under his hand. He could express the truth of the world he was forced to experience. Starting off with continuing cousin Octavian's plan of power and leadership.
"Our once right hand leader in this great city has divided; she has betrayed her oath against my orders!" He cried, motioning his workers to bring her forward.
Meanwhile, beside a pillar of the open air roof of the colosseum, Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena was perched in her viewing position, clutching the red coral pendant around her neck as she viewed the crowd from above.
In the sea of people, one of her closest friends, Piper McClean daughter of Aphrodite had her dagger in hand. Her color-shifting and striking eyes hungry for tyrannical blood.
Somewhere in the crowd also hid Will Solace with his boyfriend's weapons, and Leo Valdez ready to spark chaos.
What these revolters have in common was that they lost: someone they were close to; A lover, a friend, a family member. What these now deceased individuals were and still are were heroes; children of the eldest gods that became the bane of this demigod world. All because one man got his hands on power he wasn't worthy of and thought it was unfair for those children to possess those powers.
But little know his full story.
Frank Zhang was across the way from Annabeth on the roof of the architectural masterpiece, and arrow knocked and ready to fire.
The plan was simple enough: Leo would spark an explosion that would start a panic. In the confusion, Frank would fire arrows and take out some guards. Then, when Ronan would try to find a way off the stage, he would stumble upon the trap door that was built in by Leo that would prison him in a compartment. The group would the rush to the compartment and kill him, making it look like a simple accident from poor construction and freeing the demigod world of this dictator and avenging those children of the big three whose lives were ended without honor.
As Ronan waved his hand to being out the group's friend and spy for them, Fenner, Annabeth gave the signal for Leo to make his move.
"Please mother," she prayed to her mother Athena in a whisper, the coral pendant her boyfriend, Percy Jackson, a son of Poseidon who was also executed, gave her when they started dating. Now it was a painful sentiment. "Let this plan go through if my ways are true. If we don't do this right, more people are doing to die."
With that, Leo set himself and the curtain behind him into flames. The purple banner being eaten and dissolved by the fire and smoke.
Screams of fear rose up from the onlookers of this meeting, the people scrambling against each other.
As guards began to shuffle onto the stage, they almost immediately dropped to the ground, now embedded with a deadly arrow in the gaps between their armor. Frank had a good aim.
Ronan looked frantic, but somehow kept him composure. Even when the floor beneath him gave out, he knew it wasn't a time to panic.
Annabeth dove off her perch and into the crowd, not caring for the throbbing pain from the landing. She, along with Will and Piper, made their way to behind the stage. Once they were at the door, they waited for Frank and Leo to join.
