Chapter 42 - Clock and-
*****

Ace awoke the next day, feeling more groggy and disgusting than he had for many years. Yet there seemed to be a pleasant smell around. The smell of coffee mixed with pineapple and coconuts. He grumbled as he forced one of his eyes to open.

He just about glimpsed a small figure leaving, what appeared to be, his bedroom. Blonde curls flowing side to side as the door shut.

The pineapple and coconut smell disappeared as his eyes flicked up to his bedside table. A cup of coffee awaited him as he groaned, coughing slightly as he pushed himself up. He quickly realised he was shirtless and laying on his front as he reached out for the coffee, grabbing it as he took a sip.

Eventually, once he had finished the coffee and felt more alive, he clambered out of bed. Grabbing some fresh clothes as he went for a hot shower to really try feel more awake and less like he'd just crawled out from being underground for 100 years.

It was when he was coming downstairs he heard the familiar sounds of the other guys and Odette, laughs being exchanged and compliments being given. Though the moment he stepped inside the living room he saw why.

Odette was stood there in a deep blue dress, white lace swirled patterns going up her side. She turned instantly and looked up at Ace as he entered, a deep red blush instantly rose to her cheeks. Even the other cobras looked a little nervous and awkward as they looked between Ace and Odette.

"Um..." Ace barely managed to speak as his eyes were more concerned with scanning every inch of her, trying to take in every single part of her that dress.

Odette quickly went to walk past him, leaving the room as she was heard going upstairs. A door was heard shutting as Ace turned back to the others.

"I didn't do anything? You all saw that right? You didn't see me do anything!" Ace felt like he was going to have to defend himself. "If anything I was gonna thank her for the coffee." He added, holding up the empty mug.

The others all shook their heads.

"No thats her mug, she made herself a cup of coffee before she went upstairs to change into the dress and show us, it's the one she brought yesterday for her graduation." Eyeball corrected him.

Ace scoffed and shook his head. "No, this is from the coffee she brought me this morning."

"No, that's the-" Eyeball paused as the lightbulb seemed to appear turning on above the heads of each of them, all but Ace.

"She isn't mad anymore!" Charlie spoke with a grin as he held his hands up in triumph.

"Mad? Why would she be mad?" Ace was more confused. "This got something to do with her storming off like that? She doing that thing where girls get all bitchy and dragon-like every month?"
