Leah's P.O.V (still)
It's the next day and I have arranged a much needed, overdue, FaceTime catch up with my bestie.
"KEIRAAA" I can't help the cheesy grin that's across my face at the sight of seeing Keira
"HI MATE, how are you?" Keira responds, just as happy.
We chat for a while about general stuff and how each other have found pre-season and how excited we are for both of our seasons to begin.
After some time, Keira brings up Ellie...
"So, how is my little twinks settling in? I've spoken to her a bit and she said she is settling in well and is enjoying been back in England" Keira asks.
"She's doing really well, obviously she already knew me and Lotte, and her and Beth are inseparable as always but she is getting on really well with everyone else, its like she's always been part of the team to be honest" I respond.
"Ah good, we all miss her here, me and Lucy can't wait to see her at the next England camp. Lucy is definitely missing her gym buddy" Keira laughs.
"You can tell Lucy that Ellie also misses her gym buddy too, Lucy is all she talks about when we are in the gym, its 'Me and Lucy used to do this, me and Lucy used to do that', honestly, the girls just nod and pretend like there listening now" I laugh.
"What they both like" Keira responds.
"I did actually want to talk to you about Ellie mate" I sigh
"Why? What's happened? I thought you said she was doing fine?" Keira panics
"No, no, nothing like that. She really is doing fine, I mean she definitely misses Barca I think but that's to be expected isn't it." Keira has a soft smile. "Anyway, that's not what I wanted to talk about" I say with Keira's expression now turning to a confused one "Go on" she says.
"I wanted to ask you about what Ellie was like in terms of relationships whilst she was in Barca?" I ask, feeling a bit embarrassed all of a sudden.
"Why do you want to know that?" Keira asks
"No real reason, I know she mentioned she was 'seeing' someone, well Beth said she doesn't 'see' people, so I don't really know, but she is meeting up with someone, sleeping with them, maybe, I don't know" I try to spit my words out, getting all flustered.
Keira has a shocked face.
"What?" I ask her
"Do you have something you would like to tell me?" Keira asks, expression now showing a small smile.
"What do you mean?"
"You like her don't you?" Keira asks, her smile getting wider.
"Yeah....I don't know...aww mate, its a mess" I face palm myself
"OMG!" Keira claps her hands togethers
"Mate, don't get excited, if what I have heard about Ellie is right than there will be nothing to get excited about at all" I sigh, resting my chin in one hand
"To be honest, I know a little but, but I never actually really discussed anything like that with Ellie." Keira says
"What, never?" I ask, a little surprised. Like come on, we all love a gossip between friends.
"Obviously I am really close to Ellie but she confides in Lucy a lot with that side of her, they spent a lot of time together in the gym, inside and outside of training. Ellie looks up to Lucy like a big sister and Lucy sees and treats Ellie like a younger sister. I never really brought it up with Ellie, as I know she has those conversations with Lucy, and I'm happy knowing she has Lucy to talk to that sort of stuff about." Keira explains
