Leahs P.O.V
Today is the day that Ellie is meeting some of my family. Fuck. I'm nervous. Is it too soon? I don't know. We've not actually spent any proper time together since before she left to go to Barcelona and now I'm dragging her to meet the family? But she seemed calm about it when I asked her, god she was even the one to reply back to my mum. My mum knows all about Ellie and I, I talk to her about Ellie, a lot. So Ellie has met some of my family at previous England and Arsenal games but only in brief and obviously that was before, before Ellie and I were a thing. I've not seen Ellie this morning, she left early as she has a shoot to do. I'm going up to my mums soon and Ellie will come over once she's finished. I kind of wish we were going together but I just need to be thankful that she's coming at all, after all shes never done the whole meeting the family thing. Fuck, what if she gets cold feet? God. This is going to be a long day.

Ellie: Are you on the way to your mums?
Leah: That's better 🙃 yeah, hows the shoot?

It's around 2pm as I arrive at my Mums.
"Hi Mum" I say as I enter the kitchen and hug her.
"Hi darling, how was the journey?"
"It was good" I smile
I say my hellos to the rest of the family who have already arrived, there are a few of my aunties and uncles here, my grandma, my cousins Holly and Ben and my brother Jacob. The divide of the 'young' ones and 'old' ones already pretty clear between the group. Of course, I also say a big hello to my beloved dog, Bella.
We all chat and catch up for a while, I talk to them about how camp has been going and life in general. I wish I could spend more time with them but life is just so busy. So any chance I get to spend with my family, I take. I love spending time with them, it always feels so warm when I'm back home, the house filled with chat and laughs from everybody.
Mum has laid on a spread, everyone is drinking too. I'm not obviously, I've got to be back in camp tomorrow. Although I could probably do with a drink right now to calm my nerves. I feel like I'm hiding them pretty well though. Mum has tried her best to keep us all from eating the spread until Ellie gets here but she wasn't successful. Ellie wont mind.
Mum suddenly appears beside me and rests her hand on my back "What time is Ellie getting here?" She asks quietly, a smile on her face.
I smile, she knows, of course she knows I'm nervous.
"Ill text her"
Leah: Hi babe, hows it going? Just wondering when your beautiful self will be arriving 🙂 Mum has tried to stop everyone from eating the food but it didn't work x
"I'm excited to meet her...properly" Mum says
"Please don't embarrass me" I look at mum with a serious face
"Would I?" She says, pretending to be shocked
"Yes mum, you would" I roll my eyes
