In the weeks that passed Ellie and Leah only communicated with each other about Archie, they only really saw each other at handovers which didn't involve much conversation between the two, of course they saw each other at training but they didn't really speak, they didn't need too. Ellie was still rehabbing alone, they only really saw each other in the canteen at breakfast and lunch. They didn't make it awkward for anyone, they didn't argue, they just didn't really speak.
Although Ellie did try to speak to Leah to explain what happened and got shot down, Ellies silence since only seemed to re-affirm to Leah there was at least some truth to what had been published by the tabloids. Ellie on the other hand felt the last few months had been all for nothing, her confidence was knocked in the fact before all that was published she had finally started to open up a little to Leah about what had been going on in her mind, only for her to be shot down. She didn't blame Leah but all the hard work she had done to try and be more vulnerable felt pointless. She didn't really talk to anyone about all the noise in the tabloids and on social media, apart from one person, the only person she felt actually listened to what she was saying and how she felt. The only person she felt she could really talk too. But, to anyone else both of them acted completely fine, although it was obvious to everyone they both weren't, and Ellies confidence had definitely been knocked, but they both had to be adults about it, for the sake of Archie.

Ellies P.O.V
Tonight I am getting dragged to a place local to us that is hosting an event for local bands and singers to sing a mixture of their own songs or covers from other artists. I'd usually like that sort of thing but to be honest I just can't be arsed. But Beth is giving me no choice in the matter, there is a few of us going so it should be a good laugh and I'll probably be fine once I get there but I'm just in one of them moods today. Beth invited me over to hers beforehand but I said I would meet her there.
I finally persuaded myself to get into the shower, telling myself I would actually get ready and go out, but quite quickly got distracted on my phone as I lay on the bed after showering.
Ping ping
Beth: Jonesy, where the fuck are you?
Pft. I puff my cheeks out, knowing full well I was supposed to be there half an hour ago.
Ellie: Got caught up, I'll be 20 minutes
Suppose I better get ready then.

"Finaalllyyyyy" Beth shouts as I made my way through everyone to get to Beth and the rest of the girls
Beth looks down at her watch "That was a long 20 minutes"
"I'm here aren't I" I smile sarcastically
Beth raises an eyebrow, but is unable to hide her cheeky smile as she pulls me in for a hug "Drink?"
"Hmm...just a soft drink for me"
Beth pulls back and frowns
"I've got little legs tomorrow" I smile, knowing she isn't going to argue with me if my reason is because of Archie.

I have been here for a while now and actually I have managed to get our my funk a little, the bands are actually pretty good, alright, some not so much but most are decent and they are playing some good covers too. I'm pretty much the only one who is not drinking so everyone else is definitely a bit buzzy now, but actually it's good vibes, everyone is having a laugh, dancing and chatting away, me included.
I am leaning over the barrier, enjoying the music when I hear Beth shout over everyone
"Leah Cathrine, you said you was busy tonight"
