Ellies P.O.V
I have been back home a week now and it has flown by, my recovery is going well, few symptoms here and there but nothing too serious luckily. I had to attend hospital a few times with the Arsenal medical staff for routine checks and all kinds of assessments, head assessments, reflex tests, co ordination tests, all sorts of things. But thankfully all pointing towards me been able to make a full recovery. I've not been able to train or do any sort of exercise, only stretching, much to my frustration but its not actually been too bad as I've been kept busy doing all the assessment and tests. I'm hoping I will be back training after Christmas which isn't too long away so fingers crossed Ill be back playing either at the start after the winter break or not too long after, which is much better than I thought, and I know I'm lucky. The team have played two games the past week, both at home, I decided not to attend the games, not because I didn't want to support the team but I just didn't feel ready to face the crowds just yet. I hadn't spent much time at the training centre either with me been at the hospital but I had managed to go in and see all the girls which was nice. Arsenal and the team are really starting to feel more like home now. I just can't wait to get out there with them, but I know they will be just fine without me.
Leah and I had been a bit like ships in the night, we had not managed to spend much time together, she was busy with training and games and I was busy with my recovery. She had stayed over a few times, but to be honest either Leah fell to sleep or I did. But it was still nice. And it was definitely nice to able to share a bed with her too, as it had been so long whilst we was away at camp and then obviously in the hospital in Spain.
Arsenal and I had also been discussing about providing an update to the public and fans, speculation and rumours were still rife and of course in pre and post match press conferences the media always asked the players and Jonas questions about me, which frustrated me as I wanted them to focus on the girls, not me. So after discussions with the medical staff, the social media guys and Jonas we decided to release the following statement.
Arsenal Women Injury Update: Ellie Jones
Ellie Jones has returned to Arsenal after her spell in hospital over in Spain from an injury sustained during her time in the England camp.
Unfortunately Ellie suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury which caused swelling on her brain. Ellie is working closely with our medical team and is making positive steps towards a full recovery.
Ellie would like to place on record her thanks to the doctors and nurses at the hospital in Spain, the medics and coaching staff of the Lionesses and Arsenal. She would also like to thank the fans for the continued love and support she is receiving.

Leah was staying at her own house tonight as she was busy with things outside of football. I was at home, chilled in bed, watching TV, scrolling through socials. I hadn't posted anything on socials since my post I did when I was in Spain, id also not commented/liked anyone else's posts either. Well...that was until tonight. Leah had posted some photos from the event she had attended and I couldn't help myself but comment. She looked fucking hot.
