Ellies P.O.V
A baby. Fuck. An actual baby. It's fair to say I was definitely shocked when Leah told me she was pregnant. I couldn't believe it. What a roller coaster of emotions, especially after the heartbreak of the negative test for a second time. It has definitely been a tough year, I knew it was going to be hard but I underestimated just how hard it would be. At times, I felt completely useless, and I must admit I did question, at times, whether it was all worth it, especially when I looked into the eyes of Leah after receiving two negative test results, the pain in those eyes will forever haunt me, a look that will never leave me. But, the look in her eyes when she sat me down in that room and told me she was pregnant, now that is also a moment and a look I will never, ever, forget and it reaffirmed that it had definitely all been worth it. To be honest, its been quite surreal and we have both definitely been on cloud nine since we found out we are having a baby. A baby? Fuck. I'm not sure I'll actually believe it's happening until the baby is born.
The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind, we dragged my family down from up north to let them know of our news...
Flashback:
"Are you excited?" I ask Leah as she stands in front of the mirror, I wrap my hands around her from behind, sliding them over her stomach, something which previously I never thought about, and now, now there's a baby in there.
"Yeah, a little nervous" Leah smiles shyly, as she places her hands over mine, leaning her head back against my shoulder
"A little? I'm shitting myself" I laugh

Leah's P.O.V
I squeeze Ellies thigh, as her knee jumps up and down, giving her the look. Ellie takes a deep breath, stands up and clears her throat
"Err..can I just erm say something" She begins, clearly very nervous, which I must admit does make me laugh slightly, but also my heart filled with pride.
"So, errr...we haven't just dragged you lot down here for a booze up" Ellie laughs
"Boooo" Alex says, can always count on Alex, we invited Alex over too as we wanted her to be here when she shared the news with our families
I stand up and slide my arm around Ellies waist, her arm draping over my shoulders, both of us taking a second to look into each others eyes.
"I know you all know what Leah and I have been through the past year. And firstly, I want to thank you all, both of us do, for all your support, honestly we couldn't have done it without each and every one of you"
I look around the room, starting to see tears build in everyone's eyes
"And Leah..." my eyes suddenly darting back to Ellie, unaware of what she's about to say, as she stares directly into my eyes, momentarily like everyone around us has disappeared "You are literally the strongest person I know. Everything you have put yourself and your body through over the last year..." I can see Ellie trying to hold the tears back "Fuck" she breathes out, clearing her throat, I raise my hand and place it gently on her chest, tears slowly falling down my cheeks
"Go on Ellie, you've got it" Alex says, causing a slight nod from Ellie as she takes a sip of her drink
"I will err..." Ellie takes another deep breath "I will never forget the pain in your eyes after we received the first negative test. And I'll admit, I wasn't sure if I could handle seeing that again" My heart aches, as I feel Ellies arm shaking that is wrapped around my shoulder "But, you picked yourself up every day, despite the heartbreak I knew was there. There is one thing that I've always said to you Leah, from the beginning of our relationship and that's that nothing worth having is easy and its fair to say that this last year hasn't been easy. And I want you to know how proud of you I am" Ellie briefly leans down and places a soft kiss on my lips "I love you" she whispers
