Again

Untitled Part 15

Levi's POV

I have to keep him on the line for as long as possible. I have to find him to make sure he's safe. I quickly made it back to his house as I ran upstairs. Hanji and Historia both tried to ask what was wrong but I wouldn't tell them anything, I wasn't sure myself. I tried to remember what he said about his passwords but a whole bunch of things are running through my mind.

Carla.

That what it was.

Hanji and Historia are at a complete lost of the situation, I just told them to call Mikasa and Armin while I stay on the line with Eren. It took a long time for him to respond, by the time I found the files in his closer he finally piped up.

"Y-Yes... Levi I'm so sorry. I know that I'll call but I don't think I'll be home for Christmas," his voice cut out a little.

"Eren? What do you mean? What's wrong?" I started to panic, I can hear it in his tone that he was getting worse and worse.

"I-I love you. I want you to know that I've been thinking about you this entire time a-and I love you."

"Eren stop you're scaring me. Please where are you?! I want to see you." I found one of the few files and opened one of them up. There was a bunch of pictures but I didn't have the time. Grabbing them all I put them in a bag and headed to the living room.

"There's not going to be enough t-time..... I'm so c-cold Levi."

"Stay on the line with me Eren, please. I want to help you, I want to save you!" Finding one that's recent I flipped through it until I found the place and a hotel name.

"There's no saving what can't be saved."

"Eren continue to talk to me. What have you been doing?"

"Having a breakdown. I tried to ease my nerves with my medicine but it went bad. I had to go to desperate measures but now here I am. Please b-believe me it was an accident. G-Go to my closet l-like I told you. Open it and you'll f-find me."

I heard his movements, running around in wherever he was. I heard a pause before hearing his screams, dropping the phone in the process.

"I'm coming for you. God dammit even if you don't want me to I'll be by your side."

I have to go to the Czech Republic.

"My time is running short." He said before screamed at me as I heard him moving around.

"Dammit I don't care. I will see you even if I die with you too. I will be there even if it's your last moments. When you left a part of me left too," I cried to him. I hoped he heard what I've been telling him.

Tears started to slipped down my face as I hold the phone to my ear in one hand. Yelling at Hanji to tell her that I'm leaving now, I walk out and started to drive. I keep listening to him on the other line. I took the back roads as I try my best to make it there in time. I can hear his voice, faint but soft. At least he continued his best to stay on the line.

"L-Levi..."

"Eren... Please hang on."

It started to get darker outside. I saw nothing but darkness and the stars. Hearing nothing from the phone I called out to him, screaming out his name. I heard nothing but the static on the line. It took about another hour before I reached the hotel that he is currently at. When I arrived I quickly glanced at the papers and found the room number, placing them away in a secure location I got out. Knocking softly, I waited for an answer. I knocked a little harder, no response. Looking at the hinges I pushed against the door, bashing my body against it as the hinges let loose eventually breaking the door. Watching the hinges swing slightly I walk passed into the lightly lit room, the only source of light coming from the restroom. I quickly looked around before finally seeing him.
