Levi's POV
It took a while for Eren to trust me again, I understood why. Packing up my life and leaving to the next was normal for me. Having someone that actually cared for you witnessing it all was the hardest thing. Fears would come up that I might find someone better, get hurt or seriously injured. His mind would go as dark to me dying in different scenarios. I wouldn't want him to worry about me, the worst that happened was my insomnia and tendency to be an asshole when Hanji shows up.
That day I came back to his house the only contact with Eren was the hug and kiss. I didn't push my luck to stay the night. I wanted us to start all over without death ending it so soon. To make it complete cliché I decided to start with small little things. I know Mikasa still hates me for what I did but is showing some remorse by my attempts. Petra is my eyes in the establishment, if I wanted to give Eren anything I would ask her if it was okay before sending it. I would not over do it, besides that one time. I forgotten that I timed some of deliveries on the same day. Luckily it was only Eren and his friends who saw and no one else. I'm embarrassed whenever he brings it up again, a tool he uses against me to this very day.
The trial went as planned as the people who were involved got the time they deserved. I even testified against the men and women who were trading and manufacturing the Titan Serum. I knew it was a risk but I had the proof that was needed with my experience. Those who were in power had to step down to not be embarrassed. They were all under oath to confess in front of a judge and a jury. Some of the people who were a part of the operation are still being hunted down.
To get on my nerves whenever I asked him out on a date, he would deny. I was shocked not because of the answer, I was surprised that he would make me jealous with other men. That was what I hated the most, seeing him have a fun time with other guys. He assured me that he didn't do anything besides going out. I understood that he wanted me to suffer a little before forgiving me. One of them tried to get a little hands on with physical activity. It didn't take long for me to push him off of Eren when he started he didn't want to go any further. Not long afterwards, we made up and started to talk like normal again.
"Levi!"
I heard my name being called from upstairs. I stood near the foot of the stairs staring out the window before answering.
"What?"
"Are you almost ready?"
I looked at my outfit to see everything matched. The blazer was fitted and my hair combed back in the mirror that was besides me. The only thing I needed was a pair of socks and shoes before heading out.
"Almost. How do I look?" I walked out to see Eren trying to fix his tie.
"You look perfect." He smiled as he saw me walked in.
"You need help?" Eren looked down to his tie that was not made. Running the back if his neck he nods sheepishly.
I stood in front of him as I fixed his tie for him. It would of been easier and faster if he wasn't so tall. I'm embarrassed to say I had to stand on my tip toes. He notices but knows not to bring it up since I hate when people talk about my height.
"So where are we going?" I asked once I finished with the stupid tie.
"That's a secret."
"Not even a hint?"
"Nope!"
"Come on!" I sighed as his eyes glowed with excitement.
"Fine. Up."
"Up?"
"That's all I'm saying. Now let's go, it's almost time!"
Before I could ask anything else, he sprinted out the door. Smirking lightly, I followed him to the undisclosed location.
