Red shot under the branches of the Whomping Willow and pressed the pressure button and as Remus slid down into the passage she jumped down, landing on his shoulder skillfully before Remus started at a run so rapid that Red had to dig her claws into his shoulder to stop herself from falling.

The moment she saw Sirius Black she was off of Remus' shoulder and Remus shouted a spell.

"Expelliarmus!" He yelled and Harry's wand flew from his hand and he ushered Harry away from the man. Red stood at Remus' feet.

"Sirius Black," Remus' voice echoed through the room and he could have broken down in tears at the state Sirius was in. It hurt his heart to see his last remaining friend all ragged and shaggy.
"Looking rather ragged, finally the flesh reflects the madness within." He spoke, wand pointed down menacingly at the man on the floor.

"Well, you'd know all about the madness within wouldn't you Remus?" Sirius growled back as both men stared eachother down and neither moved until Red stepped on Remus' shoe and the latter lowered his wand with a smile and reached a helping hand out to Sirius and dragged him up off the floor and into a hug. Remus felt the tears well up in his eyes but he sniffled holding them back, holding Sirius again was almost euphoric.
"I found him, Remus." Sirius cried and Remus held the man by the arms with a smile.
"I know. I know."
"Lets kill him!"

Then Hermione spoke.

"You were with him?" The girl spoke  outraged, "This whole time?" She stared at Lupin with a broken expression. "We trusted you!"

Sirius gave Remus an exasperated expression and Remus sighed and opened his mouth to speak when Hermione spoke again.
"He's a werewolf, that's why he's been missing classes so much! Have neither of you noticed how periodically he misses them?" Hermione asked her friends and the boys gave her blank looks and she let out a frustrated groan.

Sirius began to hyperventilate and he looked down at Red, who brushed against him and he picked her up and held her right.

" How long have you known?" Remus asked Hermione, voice dropping.
"Since Professor Snape set the essay." She answered, voice wavering and Sirius began to pet the cat impatiently as he paced.
"You really are the brightest witch of your-",

"Enough talking Remus!" Sirius yelled manically as he helped the cat up onto his own shoulders. "We can kill him now!" He pointed aggressively towards the three students.

"Wait" Remus warned, lifting his wand towards  Sirius.

"Wait? Wait!? I did my waiting!" the man screamed and the cat almost got knocked off his shoulder as he shook. "Twelve years of it! In Azkaban!" Sirius felt grateful for the comfort of Red nuzzling into his neck although she was inclined not too. He smelt really bad.

Remus gave a defeated look and passed his wand to Sirius.
"Just wait one minute, Sirius. Harry deserves to know why." Sirius gave an impatient cry but complied.

"I know why!" Harry yelled and even the cat looked at him. "He's the reason their dead! You're the reason my parents are dead!" Remus actually laughed and all three gave him incredulous looks.
"No, It wasn't him Harry. It was someone who until recently I believed to be dead who betrayed your parents." Remus explained and Harry coukd have laughed.

"Who was it then if it wasn't him?" Harry jabbed a finger in Sirius' direction and the man in question waved the wand around dangerously as he spoke.

"Peter Pettigrew!" The man's eyes sliced through Ron as he made a show with his hands. "And he's in this room with us right now!" Red was inclined to jump off shoulders about now, the man was going mental and she didn't know if she could balance any longer with his manic movements. "Come out, Peter! We know you're here!" Sirius yelled as he placed a gentle hand on Reds head and pet her gently after feeling her claws dig into his skin.
"He's mental!" Ron cried.

"Expelliarmus!" a voice from behind yelled and Sirius whimpered crazily at the interruption.
"Severus.." Remus tried but when Severus pointed the wand at the scarred man he backed off and the wand flew back towards Sirius.
"I kew you were in with him Remus, I told Dumbledore and he didn't believe me. But now I have proof."

"You've always been smart Snape." Sirius spoke hands grabbing the air. "But as usual you've come to the wrong conclusion, now if you'll back off-" Severus shoved his wand forwards, pressing it on Sirius' throat and casting a dirty look towards the cat who hissed.

"Now come, Severus, there's no need to be a fool.." Remus tried. He knew Snape wouldn't hesitate to end that mans life.
"Oh he can't help it!" Sirius laughed, "Its got to be a habit by now-"
"Sirius be quiet-"
"Be quiet yourself Remus!" Sirius yelled and Remus turned away defeated and exasperated.
"Look at you two, still fighting like an old married couple!" Severus exclaimed and the look on Remus' face could've killed as he stared back at Severus over his shoulder but Snape had all his attention on Sirius.

"I coukd kill you, right now. But why should I deny the dementors the privilege?" Snape spoke condescendingly and Sirius took a step back with each word and Snape followed. Reds shackles were raised but Severus still paid no mind to her and when Sirius hit the piano she hissed again.
" You're scared aren't you Sirius? " Snape grounded, "As you should be, the dementors are going to have fun with you." He looked towards Harry and co. "After you students.."

Harry had a hold of Hermiones wand and pointed it at Sirius. Remus readied himself to jump infront of the blast, he couldn't have another friend die before him the whole room was shocked when Snape was shot into the wall.

Sirius, Remus and Red all looked towards where Severus was now passed out and the two men exchanged amused looks and Remus stepped towards Sirius again as Red calmed down and nuzzled Sirius' neck gently.

"Tell me about Pettigrew!" Harry yelled and swapped the wand between the two men and Red watched from Sirius' shoulder quietly though menacingly and she went rigid when Remus zipped infront of the wand Harry was pointing at Sirius and she meowed. It echoed through the room.

She tried to tune into the conversation when she heard a voice that she didn't recognise and her yes darted around the room.

'oh no. oh no no no no no.' A weasly voice ground through her ears and they twitched at the sound. Red had no idea who that was. 'they're gonna kill me.'

That's when her eyes landed on the rat and at the moment she looked at it the rat looked at her.

'oh lord they're gonna send Red after me-'
'Peter Pettigrew?"

A voice Peter had never heard before zipped through his head and his automatic response was to look at tge only persons voice he hadn't heard before and it wasn't a person.

'You're an animagus?" Peter asked the cat and she stood up on Sirius' shoulders and hissed.
'It is you."

The rat began squirming and Ron held on tighter. Her shackles raised again when Sirius stepped closer and she jumped off of his shoulder and went for the rat, grabbing it by the scruff of the neck and it thrashed aggressively as she brought it to Sirius who grabbed the rat and then the wand he'd placed down.
'Please. Please. no! "

"What are you trying to do to him?" Ron cried. "Scabbers!"

Red watched as Sirius and Remus tried to hit him with the spell and she launched forwards ready to grab the rat as it tried to get out of the hole in the door and she crash landed into an ass instead.

"Oh Red." Remus gushed and picked her up. "Are you alright?" She climbed onto his shoulder as he and Sirius pulled the pudgy man out of the hole.

Peter Pettigrew looked right at Red who stared him down dangerously. She was still in a little shock herself, she didn't know Peter was an animagus aswell and was now wondering if maybe Sirius and James had been. If Sirius was, she could try and talk to him. If she could talk to Peter it should work.

"R-Remus, S-Sirius! My old friends!"

Red wasn't the least bit bothered about what happened next. They were going to kill him and she didn't particularly want to watch, she climbed onto Ron's lap and the ginger stared down at her in a manic way before petting her gently and he found it calming. She watched on lazily.

She was feeling pretty tired.
