Remus' arms snaked around Dawnas waist and his chin fell to her shoulder and his eyed fluttered shut as he inhaled deeply.
"mm, smells really good" He told her as she stirred the pasta once again, splashing water onto the stove. She leaned back into him.

They were more just touch then action. He'd hold her for longer and more often then he used to and she'd lean into him more full on then she would have before. They hadn't kissed yet but they were okay with that. Baby steps.

"I know." She told him as he buried his nose further into her neck and she realised, "oh, you're talking about me." She laughed and Remus nodded into her neck and she leaned her head sideways onto his, "food smells good though yeah?" She asked and Remus lifter his head and sniffed the air.

"Smells incredible Red."
"Good." She said and as she stirred the pasta again her other hand fell and landed over one of his.
"Where'd you learn to cook?"
"When I was with my parents I had to show I was okay and healthy and could be independent and what better way to do that then prepare and eat ny own meals." She explained as she turned down the heat on the pasta, "It wasn't always so great to begin with but its not bad anymore."

"Can't wait to try it." He told her, "bet its impeccable."
She laughed,
"I can't wait for you to try it." She told him, "You'll love the-"

There was a shriek behind him,
"Remus I thought you had clothes on!" Sirius exclaimed, "Go put some on!" He scolded and a deep unfamiliar laugh echoed through the kitchen. Remus and Dawna both turned around and Dawna's jaw dropped at the man stood with Sirius.

He was attractive. Very attractive.

They both stared for a moment before Sirius cleared his throat.

"Right. I should probably put clothes on and not just be in my underwear." Remus excused himself, slipping pass Sirius and the blonde bashfully.

Dawna turned the stove off completely and walked towards the pair at the door and extended her hand to the blonde.

" Levy right? I'm Dawna, or as you'll hear Sirius and Remus call me, Red." She introduced herself, "I've heard so much about you."
Lvy raised his brown and took hold of her hand and shook it twice.
"Good to meet you Dawna." He said.
"I hope you like Creamy Garlic Chicken Pasta." She said and Levy jumped forward to the stove and Dawna followed,
"Well I like Garlic, chicken and pasta so sounds like a win."
"I made sure to keep the pepper out for your allergies."
"Why thank you Red."
"Red?"
"Its a cool name."

"Oh wow." Remus breathed as he stopped beside Sirius who was watching the pair at the counter tops in awe,
"I haven't seen Dawna warm up to someone so quick." Sirius muttered and Remus bumped his hip with his own.

"That's a good sign." Remus said, "If your cat likes them they're a keeper."
Sirius snorted a laugh and covered his mouth in embarrassment as Levy looked over his shoulder and Remus with a smile.

"Alright, you boys go sit I'll bring everything through." Dawna said and Levy went to pick up a few plates and Dawna swatted his hand away,
"Nope, go sit. I'm being a great host."

"Technically-"
"Shut up Moony." Dawna hummed and Remus smiled in her direction fondly before he, with Sirius and Levy, headed for the dining table. Not two minutes later Dawna came in with the plates all balanced on her arms and she placed them all infront of each of them before sitting down herself.

She waited anxiously as each of them took a bite, not even giving her plate the time of day. She watched at they chewed and swallowed and noone said anything.

She frowned,
"So?" She pressed and the three boys looked towards her,
"Its great Red." Remus told her and she took a bite herself before her lips trembled and she hid her face in her hands.
"Oh my god its terrible." She bristled and pulled her knees to her chest.

"No. No hun its not terrible its just missing something." Remus said, placing a reassuring hand on her kmee and Levy stood.
"Its the pepper. But I can save it, any lemons?"
"Bottom shelf in the fridge behind the eggs." Dawna answered and watched as Levy came back with four slices of lemon and squeezed each over each plate and he gestured for Dawna ro try it.

She did and it didn't taste half bsd anymore.
"Thanks Levy." She muttered and Remus' hand didn't leave her knee and they all dug in with approving nods.

"Levy is a chef so he has all sorts of tips and tricks he can teach you Red." Sirius said and she looked up hopefully.
"Would you?" She asked Levy who nodded.
"Yeah, I could teach you what stuff you can add when having to work around allergies like mine." Levy said and Dawna grinned.

"That's awfully kind of you Levy." Remus commented and Dawna looked at him with an infatuated smile.
"How did you two meet?" Levy asked and Dawna looked at him wuth an excited expression,

"Oh basically, 16 years ago I got stuck as a-" She trailed off when she saw the panic in Sirius' eyes and she saved herself, "stuck between which cat to choose at the shelter. And Remus helped ne and we hit it off." She said,
"Didn't end up getting the cat though," Remus laughed and Dawna snorted.

"Oh so you guys have been together for a long time then?" Levy questioned and Remus shook his head,
"Oh no. This is recent, we've been friends for all of it." Remus said and Levy nodded in understanding,

"How did yoy ans Sirius meet? He never mentioned." Dawna asked and Sirius blushed ans Levy smirked.

"It was at this like Cowboy club thing near by and he was awfully drunk and I work there sometimes as a first aid because im sure you guys aren't surprised by how. often people get injured getting knocked off those bulls." Levy explained and Dawna pretended she knew what the hell he was on about, "So Sirius was drunk out of his mind and went on and ended up really hurting himself and I was cleaning ip a graze on his arm when he grabbed my shoulder and told me in a serious ass voice that he would, and I quote-"
"Levy no-"
" 'I would ride you so much better then that bull out there' "

Dawna choked on her food in shock and Remus burst out into a roar of laughter.

"That picked you up?" Remus asked after he calmed down and Levy shrugged,
"What can I say? He has a way with words." Levy said and they both laughed.

It was a little later when they all curled up on the sofa ro watch Rocky Horror.

"Aw man I love Rocky Horror." Levy cheered and Remus cheered.

"I'm going to go change really quick." Dawna said and Remus stood uo too,
"I'll go with you."

Levy and Sirius giggled like a pair of teenage girls.

Remus rolled his eyes.

When they got to Remus' room- no. When they got to their room Dawna buried her face into Remus chest.
"I ruined dinner. I'm sorry."
"Oh Red, you didn't ruin anything." Remus assured her and held her body close to him and she looked up at him with conflicted eyes.

"Are you sure?"
"Positive."

She stared at him for a moment before getting on ber tiptoes and pressing a small kiss to the corner of his mouth and he blushed.
"You're ny favourite person Remus. I think you always will be."
"Oh Red..I love-"

"Oh lovebirds stop making out and come watch the movie!" Sirius called and they both laughed,
"Coming!" Dawna called before she looked back at Remus, her heart racing, "What were you gonna say?"

Remus smiled,
"I love the way you use your words." He said and she rolled ber eyes and grabbed his hands and gave him a full on kiss this time and it shocked him enough that he didn't realise they'd moved till they were sitting on the sofa.

He looked down at her as she sat with her head in her hans, leant forward as she stared at the TV awestruck and Remus smiled.

Merlin he loved her.

He loved Dawna Flynn.

right well thats technically the end unless you count the epilogue that will be out on Sunday, so look out for that :)  i will start the revision for this asap so things aren't so jumpy and the end comes more smoothly then it has here.
